  • I had a dream about Kal Penn last night, not sure what it means?

Okay, so last night I dreamt that I was married to, or was in some kind of relationship with Kal Penn ("Harold & Kumar", "House", ardent Obama supporter). In it, I was suggesting to him that we go on our first date because for some reason, despite our long-term relationship, we'd never "dated" before that point. Also, it seemed I'd just given birth to twins, and they were being looked after by one of my closest friends (who just happens to be pregnant in real life).

I seemed to have recognized that I was having a dream because I vividly remember sitting down and typing out what was happening in the dream so that online friends of mine could help me interpret what was going on.

Why Kal Penn? I don't know. I mean, I admire the man and all the good work he does, plus I'm a rabid fan of "House," but I've never had a dream about him before, and certainly not one that is still getting to me ten hours after I've awoken.

    Do you have any insights?

  • Any Hugh Laurie fans out there?

Which TV show of his do you like the best?

    House MD?

    Fortysomething?

A Bit of Fry & Laurie?

    Jeeves & Wooster?

The Crystal Cube? (It shouldn't count because it lasted for all of one episode, but just in case you love it...)

    Alfresco?

Or, perhaps one I've forgotten to mention?

Be sure to tell us why you love it so much!!

  • If there was anyone who was at the University of Texas game this past weekend...?

Do you know where I could download that "Hooked on the Horns" song? I think the hook went "I'm hooked on the Horns, I'm addicted to the sight of tower burning orange and lighting up the Austin night."

    Thanks!

P.S. Don't use this space to hate on my Longhorns, please!! Thank you.

  • Has anyone seen the movie "Peter's Friends"?

It's an early 90s film starring Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, and Imelda Staunton about college friends meeting up after 10 years. It's been described as the British "Big Chill." I adore all of these actors, and I've seen a few clips of it on YouTube ("The Underground Song" and the cast singing "The Way You Look Tonight"). It's a film that seems to be very hard to find in the States, and I was hoping someone could give me some guidance as to whether or not it's worth the search. Thank you!!

P.S. If you haven't seen it, I really don't care, so please don't answer. No offense intended to your need for two more points.

  • How contagious is mono?

Is it spread just through saliva? I was on a youth group trip with a girl this past week who was recently diagnosed with mono. We talked a lot face to face and at one point held hands to pray. I was constantly reassured that it is only spread through saliva, but I wanted to make sure that the scratchy throat I woke up with is due only to exhaustion and not to something more serious.

    Thank you!

  • What is your favorite episode of your favorite TV show?

For me, I love M*A*S*H, especially an episode called "Dear Dad...Again". In this episode Hawkeye writes home about various goings on in the camp, including having a surgeon who wasn't really a surgeon, discussing how desensitized the company has become, and, of course, reviewing the M*A*S*H "No Talent Show." I love it!!

  • Will knowing how the series ends make Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince any less exciting?

By the time the sixth movie comes out, everyone will know how the entire series ends. Will that ruin it for anyone?

  • What would be your perfect movie star-filled day?

If you could spend your day with movie stars, from the past or the present, how would you do it? It doesn't have to be logical!!

For me, the day would start with early morning tap dance lessons with Gene Kelly. Afterwards, I would head over to a local coffee shop for reading and debating with Katharine Hepburn and Emma Watson. I would then go shopping with Audrey Hepburn to pick out the perfect outfit for my dinner date with good friends Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. Unfortunately, I'd have to quickly leave dinner to be able to make my ballroom dancing competition with my partner Fred Astaire. After such a tiring day, it would be nice to come home to my roommate...okay, boyfriend Daniel Radcliffe.

    And you?

  • Mrs. Umbridge in the new Harry Potter?

Isn't she the same woman who played Mrs. Bennett in the BBC version of Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth? I know can go to imdb.com to find out, but this is just as easy.

  • Damn you, stupid boys! (Which means Girls Only)?

I'm sure this is really supposed to be in Singles & Dating, but I really don't feel like dealing with idiot boys on this question. And it is about Women's Emotional Health, really.

Okay, I'm 19 years old. I'm actually kind of pretty. I'm sweet, funny, and super smart.

Why haven't I ever been asked out?

Other than the fact that I'm shy, I can't figure this out. Is it perhaps that I project this air of not letting anyone in? I've always been one of the guys. Why won't one of these guys ask me out? I've dealt with way too much rejection in my life to even dream of asking another guy out. I mean, I couldn't even get a prom date in high school.

Is it boys, or is it me?

  • I can't figure out this dream?

It's been bugging me for a few days. I was invited to stay at Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's place. The biggest I thing I remember from it is that we were all at dinner, and for some reason I was seated next to this disgusting kid who would always hit on me when we had classes together. I leaned over to Brad to ask if he would do anything to get me out of this situation. He said he would, and the next thing I knew he was beating up this guy, in the process breaking the glass dinner table top. Angelina was suddenly pissed off at us, not for beating up a dinner guest, but for breaking the glass top. I remember this scene where she's lecturing us in the kitchen about it. I then woke up.

So, what do you think it means?

  • Do you think that the Spurs will actually play their first-round pick?

Tony Parker and Beno Udrih are the Spurs' only first-round draft picks in the last 9 years to actually play on the team. Do you think Tiago Splitter will ever play in the US? I'm sure he'll play for Europe for a while, but do you think he'll ever make it back to San Antonio?

  • Could Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid be re-made?

After watching Ocean's 13, I'm now convinced that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid could be effectively re-made using George Clooney in Paul Newman's role and Brad Pitt in Robert Redford's. Your thoughts?

  • Would you compare the 2008 presidential race...?

...to the 2006-2007 NBA season? Now hear me out. Let's say that the Democrats are the Western Conference and the Republicans are the Eastern Conference. This past season, a once dominant Eastern Conference struggled to hold any ground compared to a Western Conference that, although imperfect, flourished under the pressure. In fact, by the post season, most any seasoned NBA observer could tell that no matter how competitive the East was within itself, it would never hold up against just about any of the Top 8 West teams. If you'll also notice, with the exception of Kobe Bryant and Stephen Jackson, the West pretty much stayed out of trouble this year. But the East...well, at least there wasn't a brawl in Detroit this year.

Agree? Disagree? Whatever you say, be nice.

  • What will happen tonight in Game 3?

Who do you think will step up tonight? Will the Cavs finally take one, and if so, do you think it will be thanks to LeBron or another player? The Spurs are favored to win; will Tony Parker continue his dominance or will Manu or Tim come to the plate and take over? Does any other Spur have the chance for a big game...Fabricio Oberto, perhaps?

  • What does it say about the state of television today when...?

...the most popular sitcoms on the air are ones that have stopped production and are only in syndication? I'm talking about "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Friends," and even "M*A*S*H." It seems to me that the only really good, popular sitcom in production today is "Two and A Half Men," and even that's saying something sometimes. Shows like "Scrubs" are cast to the wayside in favor of reality and game shows. Should the "Big 3" try harder to put on quality situation comedies, or is the death knell ringing for sitcoms?
