  • How would I better my chances...?

My husband and I decided we're finally ready for kids, but really haven't been trying very hard. What I mean by that is that I am not taking my temp, not tracking ovulation, etc. We simply weren't doing anything to prevent pregnancy.

It's been 8 months and I am still not pregnant. Just this past week, we decided to start really trying. I have even started making it a point to make sure I remember to take prenatal vitals, which up until this point, I have been really bad about. I've also been trying to remember to take my temperature around the same time every day. I've read so many articles about ways to increase chances of pregnancy, but there is so much info out there that it gets a little overwhelming.

I guess my question is: what has worked for you? Herbs? Positions? Anything. Obviously, only women who have had babies or someone with a medical background will be able to answer this question, and I appreciate all serious answers out there. This is something I really want and I'm worried that maybe there's something wrong with me. Thank you in advance.

  • What should I do in this situation...?

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I knew going into the program that there would not be a lot I could do with that degree unless I went back to get my master's. Most of the jobs I do qualify for want to hire people with experience. I've applied to many different places, and finally got offered a job. It is not a job that I particularly wanted, but I was happy to actually have a job, especially in the current economic climate. However, I just got an email today about a job I applied for about a month ago that I think I would enjoy much more.

Should I interview for this other job even though I already accepted a job elsewhere? And what is the etiquette in a situation like this if I do get offered another position?

  • Could I be pregnant after only being off the pill a month?

My husband and I are trying to conceive. This was my first month off the pill. My LMP was June 3, and was supposed to start 10 days ago. I have had slight cramping, nipple soreness/tenderness, mood swings, and mild heartburn. I haven't had any nausea, implantation bleeding that I noticed, and I haven't noticed having to use the bathroom any more than normal. However, my husband and I just moved to a new city last month and I still haven't found a job, which has me more stressed than usual as I am usually a very laid back person. I have not changed any of my other routines. I took a pregnancy test on the 30th (the day I was supposed to start) and it was negative. I haven't taken one since because I don't want to be disappointed. I know it sometimes takes women a while for their cycles to return to normal after being on the pill, but could I be pregnant?
