1 AnswerComedy1 decade agoWhy won't my dog poop in our yard?
If I take him for a walk, he will usually go within 3-5 blocks, and if he doesn't go in the yard, we later find it somewhere in the house. He is only about 10 months old, and he came from a neglecting home. Our assumption is that he went in their house as well and was scolded or even abused when it happened, thus leading to a hesitancy toward pooping at all (an sometimes peeing) in view of a person.
Since I started walking him "off campus" he has not gone in the house at all to our knowledge, but I need him to know he can and should go in our yard. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated?

I have soaked my carpet with a 50/50 vinegar water mix. sprinkled baking soda, and shampooed repeatedly with an extractor, and there is still some sort of urine component odor. I tried a pre-mixed bottle of Odoban tonight, and we will see how it does before I go in with a stronger mix and saturate the affected areas.

My precious little Chauncey died last night, and I have never been sadder in my life. She was the perfect dog, and was happy and comfortable right up until the last few weeks when she began to decline from the effects of her age and health conditions. Believe it or not, she was over 20 years old! Unfortunately we only had her for 9 of those years.
I have lost many relatives and friends in my 40+ years, but have never felt the feelings I am now over the loss of this friend and family member. I have some thoughts, but i wondered if anyone else feels the same and, if so, why?

When I get a complete TV series season from the library there is not enough time to watch all of the episodes in one week. Is it reasonable if I temporarily rip the DVDs to mpg files and view them on my computer later. I know it's technically not right, but to me it's the same as if I was renewing the item at the library, and someone else gets to use it sooner as well. After they have been viewed I delete them.
Can't say if any other opinion will change mine, but I'd like to hear if you agree of disagree, or if you have any relevant thoughts.
