I need a good question about public key cryptography for a math essay in high school. It should not be something like "What is public key cryptography?" or "How has public key cryptography changed the way we communicate?" It needs to be a question that investigates something about public key cryptography and could have a conjecture (thesis) drawn from it.

I bought two Sandisk Cruzer Fit 4Gb USB's over the holidays to boot Linux, since I lost my old USB. However, neither has been able to boot Linux. I am installing ArchPup Linux from Windows 7 with Xboot. When I restart my computer (Acer Aspire One netbook) and change the BIOS to boot from USB, the computer boots straight into Windows. Any help would be appreciated.

Note: I have not tried Universal USB Installer of YUMI, however.

I have a Knoppix 6.7 live cd installed to a USB. At every startup, I have to type in "knoppix" at the boot prompt to bypass Adriane and start X directly. This is very tiresome, and I would like to bypass this option. Is there someway I can make Knoppix boot like I want to without typing at the boot prompt every time. In other words, I would like to automate the process. Is there some file or option that I can edit?

Note: I did search google, but would like a KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) answer, instead of wading through documentation.

I would like to minimize a couple of programs to the notification area instead of the task bar. I want the have them running in the background, but not on my already cluttered task bar. I know that some programs already do this. Can you provide a fix, or solution for my problem?

Is it possible for someone to view the source of a webpage and save the flash and/or java scripts that run the games and run the on ones computer with a interpreter. This way, I wouldn't have to connect to the internet every time I wanted to play my favorite game. Or I could play it on an airplane, or where there isn't any wifi.

I am trying to boot Damn Small Linux from a USB stick to my laptop. When the laptop starts up, I press F12 and select my USB to boot first. After that, the screen goes black, with just a small blinking cursor on the top. I assume the computer is searching for something, but I'm not sure what, and it doesn't seem to find it.

A little background: I'm a high school sophomore doing the International Baccalaureate which includes several large papers. My school supplies tiny Acer net books for the students to do their work on, but they do not suit me (My hands are too large for the keyboard). This really bothers me alot, since many of my teachers assign work on the computers and expect us to take notes on them. How can I convince my parents to buy me a laptop for the rest of my high school career, and possibly college. I want a Lenovo in the $400 range, and could pay for some of it (or all of it) with my own money. Any kind of help appreciated.
