I am trying to discover myself again after a heart attack. Much in my life has changed. But I still have my 4 perfect daughters and a very supportive wife. Im out of work for now so I have a ton of time on my hands. I just try and stay busy. I have alot of interests. I consider myself an amateur physicist and astronomer. Emphasis on the amateur, I guess.

  • Ukraine crisis?

I am an American and served in the army for 6 years. Just a little back story. I don't have a problem with Crimea leaving the Ukraine. Wouldn't it cause more issues to force them to stay with a country they don't want to be a part of? And, if I'm not mistaken, they haven't actually been a part of that country for very long. I'm not trying to start an argument, just looking for different inputs.

  • How are flight data recorders found?

Do the flight data recorders have a tracking beacon and if so, how far does it transmit? Does it get turned off if you pull the power from an aircrafts transponder?

  • Life after death or over active sub-conscious?

Two years ago I had open heart surgery. I don't remember much, but I do have a distinct memory of something. If I had to put a name to it, I would call it hell. It has stayed with me all this time because it was really traumatic. I guess it's really a question of preference of belief. Has anyone else ever had a "bad" afterlife experience? I didn't get the calming white light and family members and all that. Just wondering if anyone had ever heard of this before. Thank you for your time.

  • Shouldn't the flight crew on MH370 have gotten off a mayday?

Wouldn't there have to have been an absolute catastrophic structural failure for them to have not declared an emergency? I am hoping someone out there can educate me on this.

  • Since we all know Oakland is going 4-12 this year...?

Is it a foregone conclusion that they would take Clowney with the first pick? Yes, I realize 4-12 is probably a bit optimistic with Oakland. However, I had wondered if they would take Clowney, Bridgewater, or possibly Boyd. As a lifeling Raider fan (no pity, please. I've come to terms with it.), i'd love to see Clowney in silver and black, but we have so many problems... Just wondering what Raider fans thoughts were.

  • If "white holes" exist, shouldnt they be extremely bright and visible?

I think I am completely off base here, but wouldnt they be about the brightest things out there? Just given the amount of mass that is theoretically supposed to be spit out by one of these things, it would be incredibly bright, yes? Or am I way off?

  • Is Michael Vick really the answer in Philly?

He didnt throw any picks this week but he lost 2 fumbles. I was just curious if people still think he is the saviour of the Eagles or what. I just dont think hes the guy and Andy Reid is gonna lose his job partly because of him. What do you guys think?

  • Why does the end of the world seem so popular?

So, everytime I turn on the History Channel it seems to be about the end of the world. I know that it tends to happen at the end of a millenium but this is the beginning. I was just curious if anyone had any good theories.

  • Non-carbon based life forms?

Do you think it would be possible to have a different base for life? If so, what would you say it is? I know a lot of scientists have speculated on silicon.

  • What would your dream fight be?

Who would you want to see fight? I guess mine would be Rocky Marciano and Muhammed Ali. I have always been a big fan of the heavyweight division. Its full of chumps now though. But I was just curious what other people might say.

  • Is consciousness a form of energy?

If it is a form of energy, doesnt that mean that at the moment of death it has to go somewhere? Energy cant be destroyed only transfered, if I am remembering my physics correctly. So, wouldnt this be a form of life after death?

  • Any ideas to help with pain after heart bypass surgery?

I am a 38 y/o male and 7 months ago I had bypass surgery. I still have pretty bad pain along my sternum and also my left upper chest and arm where they took an artery to use. I asked my doctor about a recovery time table and he said anywhere from 6 months to several years. I could use some tips for helping with the pain. Its 3 am and I cant sleep. LOL. Any help is appreciated.
