  • Would you mind helping me decide something?

    1. There are just some secrets your lips won't let you tell. This secret will eat at you, drive you crazy, cost you friends, and yet, you still can't even utter it when you're completely alone in your bed.

    2. He is not okay. He is an insufferable idiot. But it is possible to save him. But, first, one would have to know that something was wrong. He's plastered on a convincing smile, and no one can tell he's slowly dying inside.

    3. A good way to tell when Ebony is bored is when she pops out her glass eye ball and begins to play with it. The first time she did that in front of him, he screamed. Sadly, he had to admit that he got used to it.

    4. I was always told that I needed to hold in the tears, hide my pain, and fake a smile that was so convincing that no one could tell that I was dead on the inside. But I can't do that anymore. I am through with lying. I am going to let the tears escape and the screams fall ungracefully from my lips. Who cares what others think? Not me. Not anymore.

    5. Heather sighed, letting the cool air brush past her as she prepared to jump. She took a deep breath and spread her arms. Looking down at the icy and rocky water so far below her, she almost missed it when a male's voice cried out a single word.

    6. Humanity is gone, but not forgotten. They remembered what it's like to be human, even if it is only just barely. They refuse to go back to that time, because being inhumane was so much easier. One might even say "fun," but the meaning of that word has been lost for years now.

    7. Thunder clapped with every click of her heels on the cold, broken asphalt. Rain poured down with every tear that fell. Lightning split the sky with every broken sob that passed her delicate lips. She was Mother Nature, and her heart was completely shattered. Father Sky had died, leaving her with his job along with hers. The World was going to change and if she couldn't control her emotions it would, in fact, be for the worse.

**So, I really like all these ideas, but I can't work on them all at the same time, that would just confuse me, but I also can't just work on one. Because I've always worked on two at a time, because it keeps the creativity running. I already have one [ http://www.wattpad.com/story/1770908-the-jump ], but I can't decide on the second one. I am going to use all seven of these paragraphs, I just need to know which one to pick first. And because I like all of them so much, an explanation will be needed as well, if you wouldn't mind. Thanks so much for all of your time and help!

I'll answer yours if you answer mine. :]

  • I would like some help with this please?

First off, I have never written anything like this, so all the helpful comments you could give would mean a lot to me. If there are any errors, be it spelling, grammar, description, or anything else that I could have fudged up, please point it out. I am rather proud of how this has turned out, but I would like some other opinions since I know there's things that I've missed. That being said, don't be afraid to hurt my feelings with your answers. I know that by posting my work here, I am opening myself to harshness. If I couldn't handle it, I wouldn't do so. Oh, yes. Thank you for all of your help and time in advance. Without further ado, here is the scene I promised, just by asking this question:

"Okay," I told myself. "I can do this."

I looked down and gulped when I saw just exactly how far I would fall if I couldn't. Turning to Josiah, I furrowed my eyebrows, allowing my lips to tug downwards with my eyes widening ever so slightly.

"I believe in you," his voice was deep.

My best friend, gestured for me to just go ahead. You know, the person who should be talking me out of this? For a brief second, I wondered if his black hair, green eyes, and gray shirt stretched across his rippled muscles would be the last thing I ever saw. I shook my head and let out a heavy breath. It was my bright idea, but still. Now that I was actually up here on this cliff, looking across the fifteen foot span, I was having doubts. Serious ones.

"Just do it, Emma. It was your idea." Josiah sounded bored, as if he could care less if I lived or died.

"Shouldn't you be talking me out of this?" Even I could hear the whine in my voice.

"Emma," he sighed. "You can do this."

I nudged the rock by my foot and listened as it began it decent. I gulped again with all the sound it was making. I shook my head as my eyes closed. But, already I could feel my muscles tensing, my heart racing, and my breathing evening out. He was right; I could do this. All I had to do was keep telling myself that. Suddenly a thought hit me.

"What if I can't get back?"

"I believe in you," he repeated.

"Okay," I exhaled. "Here goes nothing."

Turning around, I jogged about twenty feet back. I faced Josiah again and caught his eye. For a second there was worry there, but it quickly disappeared only to be replaced by a bright smile complete with dimples.

    "Oh, god," I murmured.

I was going to die in a bright pink shirt and holey blue jeans. With that happy thought in mind, I broke into a mad run, the edge quickly coming closer. I pushed off the edge with all my might, and then I was flying. The wind was blowing my hair back, and I screamed, loudly. The other side was coming closer, but not quickly enough.

I stretched out as far as I could, desperate for Josiah's faith in me to not be misplaced. I gripped onto the edge, scrambling to keep my hands and feet on the rock. I slid, and let out another blood curdling scream before catching myself, and throwing all my weight into getting me to safety. When I was on the opposite edge of where I started, I laid on the cold cliff edge, gasping for breath, laughing almost hysterically, tears catching on my eyelashes.

"I told you so!" Josiah shouted, his gravely voice carrying despite the distance.

I turned towards him, and even from here I could see his perfectly white teeth, telling my that he was grinning from ear to ear.

"I hate you!" I shouted back, breathlessly.

"I love you too!" He pretended that he misheard me.

Despite myself, I caught myself smiling.
