How did any country in history gain their independence? Through war, right? So why are we stepping in and taking over. Shouldn't we let them work it out themselves. I say if the rebels don't have the power to overthrow Gaddafi, then they wouldn't be able to run the country. If the war is fought by the US and other nations then the people of Libya will have no pride in their country, and rely on us to keep helping.

This is a question for anybody, but I would really like some of the non-white Americans out there to answer. When someone is describing you to another person, would you prefer them to say African-American; Chinese-American; Mexican-American; etc. If so why? If you were born in America then you're just American, right?

And another question for the black people reading. Does being called black offend you, why? Is it any different than calling someone tall or short; fat or skinny. To me, it's one of your physical traits that people use to identify you.
