Is a person acting as a security officer allowed to do a terry stop.?
I am wondering if a security officer such as a security officer on a college campus legally allowed to search a person or pat down their clothing for weapons? If they were to find a weapon on a person could that security officer then detain a person after disarming them for the actual police to charge the person with being in possession of that weapon. Would the weapon be admissible evidence against them in court? I am asking this because it seems to have happened in a case I am going to do an oral report about in my criminology class.

I honestly believe this mans 4th amendment rights were violated and any gun related charges should never have been filed as the gun was improperly seized.
5 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoHow would a woman react to going on a date with a guy who carries a concealed handgun?
I would like to know how the average woman would react to going on a date with a guy and finding out on the date that he had a concealed pistol and was not law enforcement or security but was legal to carry.
8 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoCan you review my website and make some sugestions?
I am looking to have people review my website and give me their opinion on how I can improve it. I do want to remain compliant with the international standards as far as the coding goes though. I also want it to be very compatible with the search engines and the accessibility standards as well while staying acceptably appealing at the same time.
I really need to be able to build more regular traffic to this site and generate more search engine traffic at the same time.

3 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoHow can a company without a website get a higher rating on yahoo local then one with a website?
I own and operate a web design and development company in Milford PA 18337 (Lake Area Webs) and in Yahoo local search for the term "Web Design" in my area 18337 My website shows up as number two.
That is good except the fact that the listing in the number one spot does not even have a website. I am wondering how that can be possible.
The only thing I can think of is if the Yahoo! directory is somehow skewed by telephone directories or is being paid off somehow. Paid advertising is normally in a different color though and in this case they are not.
I would love to have this explained to me by someone who knows from experience. I feel like any SEO effort I do will be for nothing as all SEO tactics are done through a website.

I just got notification that Target corporation is being sued with a class action lawsuit because their website is not accessible to the blind.

If you have a business or commercial website this should concern you in a major way. To make the business websites compliant with the international accessibility standards is a huge job.
15 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoContracts and Deposits?
I am wondering if I should use legal contracts and require substantial deposits on all my web design work. It seems to me there are many successful web design companies out there that require both and typically 50% deposit up front prior to starting work on the site.
It seems to me without them customers have you building sites for them to potentially steal from you or just waste your time in general building a site for them they will never buy.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoWhy does it seem Yahoo restricts URLs from Answers?
It seems to me that Yahoo Answers would have a much higher quality of responses to their questions if they would allow the use of signatures including URLs to the responses.
They own one of the worlds largest search engines and know the value of a link from a website. If a person wants to answer a question what is wrong with allowing the asker to see other examples of the persons skill level through links? It is not spam unless the person responding is actively asking for a sale.
A simple website review posting could be determined as spam faster then a person signature containing examples of their work.
There are also a lot of postings on this site that contain URLs in them that should also be removed based on the current policy if taken verbatium. It would also restrict you from being able to give a link to source code so are we supposed to paste entire pages of source code into our programming questions?
I hope that not only the community respond to this but also the staff as well
