Big A
I live in Southeastern Ohio, in a small town called Jackson. I'm 31 years old. AKA richard s. and Sho' Nuff. I love NASCAR racing and Buckeye Football. My favorite current driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr. However nobody will replace Dale Sr. as my favorite driver of all time. I also enjoy watching The UFC, and NFL. I am a recent convert to the Baltimore Ravens. I was a Bengals fan, but I figured 17 years of losing was long enough, and I had paid my dues. It's hard to stay committed to a team when the owner isn't committed to the fans. My favorite hobby aside from watching sports is playing HALO with my buddies. Get blitzed, crush my pals' self-respect by dominating them, whats not to love?
Which is worse in fantasy football?
Losing a close game after making some poor last minute lineup changes, or getting " blown up " when you played the very best lineup you have available to you?
6 AnswersFantasy Sports1 decade agoIs there any other way to get Xbox 360 d.l.c. besides Xbox live?
I don't mean steal it, I just mean, do they ever put d.l.c. on a retail disc you can buy? For example, I really want the Undead Nightmare expansion for Red Dead Redemption, but given my slow internet connection it makes no sense for me to sign up for Xbox Live Gold. I know they have put things like Halo map packs on retail discs before, is this still an option, and where would I order them from?
1 AnswerXbox1 decade agoShould NASCAR consider taking the Cup Series outside the U.S. ?
I kinda like the 2 exhibition races they ran in Japan in 96' and 97'. Should they consider something like that again as part of the season schedule? I'm positive they could find some tracks outside our borders that wouldn't have near the trouble some current tracks do, as far as filling the grandstands.
12 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoWhy are so many people ticked off about the # 48 winning back to back races ?
I'm not a Johnson fan, but even I am starting to feel bad for him. He won in Cali because of plain old luck, and won Vegas with good old fashioned pit strategy. Both of which have help uncountable drivers, including whoever YOU rout for, win before, so why hate on Jimmie for it?
12 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoDoes NASCAR really " NEED" to impound a Start-n-Park Car?
What is the point? Why burden a team on the brink? And it's not like we fans don't know the " wink and nod " attitude that NASCAR has towards these teams anyway. You can read for yourselves. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=new...
My own opinion is why would NASCAR take a good car from a field filler team, when they have, for several years relied on these teams to make the 43 car minimum? IF NASCAR was so concerned about this team's integrity, why let them start the race without a pit crew?
11 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoA question to the NASCAR Nation.?
Which side of the fence do you reside on.... The lap belt was cut while extracting Dale, or it failed and contributed to his death?
9 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoWhich NASCAR driver appreciates his fans the most?
Would you say it was one of the Big Time Regulars, or would it be someone as low as a start and park driver, who still has someone ask for a photo op, and a signature?
9 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoWill Dale Jr. be as aggressive in the 500 this year?
Everybody on the planet knows about the " Jr-vs-Vickers" incident last year, and the media frenzy following. So..if faced with a similar situation, will Dale be as aggressive, or will he back off ?
13 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoA question to members of the Y!A NASCAR NATION?
Are any of the long timers on here running a fantasy league? I figure with being here a season or two, I can spot the names I trust, and those I don't. So, are any of you running a league, or interested in joining a league I set up?
Seems more and more like ESPN has cashed out, so that leaves me with 1 league. And well....1 league just ain't enough to satisfy me.
4 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoDoes this video post from a NASCAR pundit offend you?
It doesn't offend me personally, in fact it looks pretty fun. But should someone who is paid to cover NASCAR news post articles that continue the NASCAR Fan/ Redneck stereotype?
3 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoWhen does ESPN and Yahoo open the NASCAR Fantasy leagues ?
Last year I waited to long, and had a heck of a time filling my Owners' Roster. Just trying to get a jump this year.
2 AnswersFantasy Sports1 decade agoIs the Rooney Rule effective, and should it be?
Should NFL teams been forced to interview a minority for their Head Coach position ? And further, if they rule is warranted, why is it so easy to get around?
5 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWho will win the pole for the 2010 Daytona 500?
That should meet the requirements of a Y!A's question. I took a few months, because I just couldn't stomach the same old, Jr. / Kyle hating going on. Sad to see some things never change.
23 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoWho to start at QB week 8 ?
D. McNabb -vs- the Giants or J. Flacco -vs- Denver.
3 AnswersFantasy Sports1 decade agoDo you have proof of Dale Jr.'s hard partying ways?
Many detractors of Dale Jr. throw out the..." He's to busy partying to concentrate on the racing" ...bit, to explain why Jr. doesn't win often enough. My question is this...What are you basing that on? In this day of paparazzi like TMZ, no celeb is safe anywhere. So where are the links to the video proof Jr. is out drinking and screwing around when he should be working?
So where is your proof at?
16 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoWhich is the bigger surprise of the 2009 chase picture?
The struggles of Roush racing as a whole ? Or the fact that Kyle Busch still doesn't have a Chase slot locked down?
21 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoGiven the media pundits, and general fans acceptance....?
of the wrecks of Edwards at Talladega, and Busch at Daytona, as blocking related accidents, make Jr. seem less like the devil for wrecking Vickers at the 500? In every video I have seen of each wreck, the guy that got dumped was making a huge block on a passing car, and paid the price. Granted Jr.-vs-Vickers caught up a bunch of uninvolved drivers, but the same standard applies. Throw a huge block, you might get the bumper.
7 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoA hypothetical question to NASCAR fans?
I'm sure it has been asked before, but here we go.
If you woke up tomorrow as a driver qualified in the race, and found yourself a close 2nd on the last lap, would you intentionally wreck your favorite driver to win?
28 AnswersNASCAR1 decade agoIf Brett Favre plays for the Vikings in 2009...?
will John Madden be in the Monday Night Football booth at some point on 10/5/09 , when they face the Packers at home ? Or do you think the network will save that " JEWEL " until they play 11/1/09 in Green Bay ?
