If SCOTUS overturns Roe v. Wade is there any chance Trump can win re-election?(other than maybe Bill DeBlasio being the nominee lol)?
I can't imagine a much more politically damaging outcome for the GOP. Bills like the one in Alabama are so out of step with the mainstream that I can't see the GOP coalition (which includes upper middle class suburban Republicans who bite their tongue on social issues to avoid higher taxes) going along with this. Does the GOP realize how damning this would actually be to the party? It's one thing to give evangelicals lip service (which is all they usually do), but to pass what they want on this would be insane/political suicide.
9 AnswersPolitics2 years agoFunny how the Dems always accuse the GOP of bigotry or pandering to bigots, isn t it?
The pro-slavery party.
The pro-segregation party.
The pro-lower standards for certain races party.
Now officially the pro-pandering to bigots to win party.
When will the Democrats change their racist ways?
6 AnswersPolitics5 years agoWin or lose, is there any question that the best player in the world is still LBJ?
Curry's great. He has 2 MVP's (no Finals MVP) and is unquestionably the best shooter in the game. He's playing hurt so it's not fair to judge him completely on this year's playoffs. However, if you take Curry off of the Warriors, they're still a championship caliber team. If you take LeBron off the Cavs, this year's team probably loses in the first round of the playoffs. In previous years he's taken teams that wouldn't even make the playoffs without him. Curry is the better shooter, but LeBron is better at everything else. He's just an all around beast. He's one of the best passers, rebounders, scorers, and defenders in the league.
8 AnswersBasketball5 years agoHow did you personally congratulate Donald Trump for calling the Orlando massacre?
Everyone I know is in shock. We all thought that the previous terrorist attack before Orlando was the last one and that the world was now in peace. None of us ever could have imagined another terrorist attack on US soil in our lifetimes. However, Trump called for one and deserves to be congratulated. How did you honor him?
7 AnswersPolitics5 years agoDoes Trump have the most coherent strategy as to when to use force and when not to use force?
I don't agree with Trump's Muslim ban, but I think he has the most coherent strategy as when to use force and when not to use force. I see it as similar to Bush 1's strategy. Unlike Obama, Trump says we should be willing to implement ground troops and excessive force to take out terrorist groups such as ISIS. However, unlike Bush 2 or Hillary, he's not into toppling dictators who pose no serious threat to the US such as in Iraq or Libya. He wisely realizes this leads to instability rather than a functional democracy. Hillary is a hawk and I would be worried about her trying to topple Assad when there's clearly nothing that can come in and take his place. Meanwhile, 3rd party candidates like Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are waiting for ISIS to attack us before we do anything to take them out. This "let them attack us first" philosophy is even dumber than an expensive hawkish foreign policy. I don't want terrorist organizations to grow so that they can plot another large scale attack on us like 9/11.
7 AnswersPolitics5 years agoWould Gary Johnson be viable with a more sane foreign policy?
Compared to most libertarians he's pragmatic and reasonable. From my understanding he isn't calling for the privatization of all roads or legalizing the sale of meth to minors. However, his foreign policy is questionable at best. He says that we make problems worse by going over to the Middle East and only attack if we're attacked. Attacking only if we're attacked is idiotic thinking. As the most powerful country in the world, we should attack if there's a legitimate threat to attack us. What are we going to do? Wait for somebody to nuke us and then go after them hard? We should be blasting ISIS back to the stone age right now, not waiting for them to attack us. I think most reasonable agree that our experiments of removing dictators, nation building, and creating democracies have been epic disasters, but we should not let up on attacking terrorists wherever they are.
5 AnswersPolitics5 years agoDoes anybody else want their body to be eaten after they die?
I eat all kinds of meats. I think it's only fair that I return the favor and contribute my body to the circle of life. I don't care if its crows or crocodiles. I just hope that my body doesn't go to waste and something can use it for energy.
32 AnswersGreen Living5 years agoHow will these stupid transgender bathroom bans be enforced? Are police officers going to feel us up or what?
I'm not sure why we're making a big deal out of transgenders using certain bathrooms. This has never been a serious issue before.
13 AnswersPolitics5 years agoCurry, LBJ, Durant, Davis, and who for the best starting 5 in Rio? Westbrook, CP3, or Harden?
I think Westbrook and CP3 are slightly better players than Harden, but he might compliment the team better in the starting 5, being a true SG.
1 AnswerBasketball5 years agoIs it time for parents who's kids were killed by drunk drivers to sue the evil car manufacturers like Ford and GM?
That's the impression I'm getting from this highly intellectual debate.
10 AnswersPolitics5 years agoWhy do only liberals protest rallies?
I don't see any conservatives protesting Hillary or Bernie rallies. The only people who protest them are left-wing nuts as well.
11 AnswersPolitics5 years agoShould car manufacturers be held liable for drunk drivers?
That's effectively Hillary's position on guns. Even Bernie thinks she's a complete moron with her views on this.
6 AnswersPolitics5 years agoDid Trump lock up the GOP primary by saying that he has a big d***?
None of these other clowns can top that. Might as well go home.
6 AnswersPolitics5 years agoThe fix is in. Hillary is leading Sanders in NH delegates, should the party change its name to the Undemocratic Party?
The real NH results that matter:
Hillary- 15/32 delegates
Sanders- 13/32 delegates
4/32 delegates still undecided
In Iowa she leads 27-21 despite it being a 50-50 tie. Sorry, Sanders fans, but he doesn't have a prayer.
5 AnswersPolitics5 years agoCan smart liberals help me solve the puzzle? I'm given the letters L,I,A,R. I need to fill in the name _ILLAR_?
Thanks liberals, you're so smart!
11 AnswersPolitics5 years agoAren't liberals concerned that the party who they want to design all their liberal programs decides their race with coin flips?
This is how we get things like the Obamacare website.
