2 AnswersSecurity7 years agoIf I want to take money out of inherited investments to build a house?
Rather than wait until my house sells and I want to take money out of inherited investments to build a house, what are the tax consequences? Say I inherited $150,000 and it is now worth $200,000 but I have sold some of the stocks and reinvested the money in other stocks. Could I take $150,000 out to build a house without having to pay taxes on it? When my present house sells and I want to put that money back into the stock market, will I have to pay taxes on the money I reinvest? What if I don't reinvest the proceeds of the sale? This is the first and probably only time I will be selling a house. I am over 65 also, if that has any bearing on anything.

Why do you have to belong to Facebook to comment on articles in The Ticket? It asks what you want to comment through but if you select Yahoo it doesn't get you anywhere. Very annoying.

I just had my hard drive die and the new one doesn't have everything the old one had, e.g., Adobe. I have a disc that came with the laptop titled "Utilities and Drivers". Would it help to reload this disc? Will it ask questions a novice will not be able to answer? Can it do more harm than good?
2 AnswersSoftware9 years agoIs anyone at Yahoo Mail awake? If not, how do we shake them?
It appears there are more than a few of us that can't send mail from all the reports I've seen here. Does anyone know how to get their attention? This so annoying but it is only affecting one of my e-mail accounts so for those of you that don't have others to go to, it is easy to open another account. Sign out of your current account and then register for another. It's pain but then this new mail is a royal pain.
