Desktop crashing whenever I play games?
I've been having this irritating problem for about a week or two now. Whenever I play high end games like Battlefield 3, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, etc. It always freezes on me. When it freezes, the screen will pixelate a little, followed by a obnoxious buzzing sound coming from my speakers. I can sometimes Alt+Tab out of the game and end it via Task Manager, but most times, I would half to forcefully restart my computer. I've read on some forums that it may half to do with overheating, but my GPU rarely exceeds 67-68 degrees celcius. I tried cleaning out some dust with a can of pressurized air. I've also tried rearranging my RAM cards to different slots. I honestly don't know what it is, and I'm fearing that my GPU is dying. I can play some low end games, like Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, etc. Without this occurring.
My build specs are:
Motherboard: ASUS P8 Z77 V-LK
CPU: Intel i5 3470k @3.2 gHZ
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 MSI HAWK Edition 2 GB.
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP 16 GB (2x8 GB)
PSU: Rosewill Taychon 550 Watts
Fan/Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium.
If you know a possible solution to what I'm experiencing, let me know.
