I am 16 years old. I am a hard worker, and I am the top of my class. I take hard classes, and I have been able to handle these courses on my own. My parents have never pushed me to do so, I push myself. I am kind and responsible and I do my best to reach their expectations. However, my mother takes me being myself as a rebellion against her conservative values. I've dyed my hair crazy colors for a few years now, and just recently I got some piercings in my ear cartilage. Although they don't like it, I only do this with their permission. Recently I came out to my parents as an atheist, and I have tried my hardest to make it clear that this is not a form of rebellion, but just my own thoughts and logic leading me to this conclusion. My mom doesn't believe me. She brings it up constantly, and is now calling me rebellious and using this point for everything that I do, from hanging out with friends to simple chores. She has stopped allowing me to do the things that I love to do. I have found ways around this, but when she discovers that I have it only fuels her assumption that I am rebellious. How do I fix this? Is there any way that I can make it clear to her that I am simply trying to be myself and act on my own accord?

I'm going to be getting an industrial piercing in one ear and a helix piercing in the other tomorrow. The day after that I'll be going on an overnight backpacking trip. I'll only be able to use H2Ocean to clean the piercings if they sell it at the shop, but I can wash it thoroughly as soon as I'm home. Is this a horrible idea? I really don't want to get an infection. I've been trying to do this for the past couple weeks but my dad has always canceled, so I'm super impatient at this point and finally we have figured out a definite day that I could get it done. Would it be ok for a day and I can risk it? Or is this a horrible idea and I should wait for another day?

I plan on changing my hair color to a dark teal. I used a cheap purple dye to dye my hair months ago, and it's stained my hair. Some parts are very light pink or blonde while others are still deep purple, about as dark as I want my greenish teal to be. If I just go ahead and put the teal over my hair, would it be teal in the darker places or would it turn into some nasty unintended color like brown? I'm willing to do a bleach bath to get the rest of this purple out if necessary, but I'd really like to avoid any damaging to my hair.

I've only used pads in my life, and I am 15 years old. I was gonna go to a pool party later today, so I decided to put in a tampon for the first time now just in case something went wrong. Well, it did. It was fine for about 10 minutes and I was loving it, but then I was walking and I got extremely light-headed and my vision blurred. My mom told me to take it out, and by the time I got to the bathroom I couldn't see and I fell. I got up and I took it out, and in the past hour I've experienced horrible cramps (usually I have none), lightheadedness, trouble standing, and diarrhea. It's gotten better since I ate but I'm still terrified. Am I experiencing TSS? Should I see a doctor?

So over the past 2 years I've dyed my hair 4 times using splat. First time was with Lusty Lavender, I had bleached my natural black and it faded to pink, and I dyed over that with Purple Desire. The next dyes were just touchups where I plopped the dye right over the purple that was already there. So I've got 3-4 layers of purple on my hair. The last time I touched up my roots and dyed it was 7 months ago, and I want to try Manic Panic Enchanted Forest now, and stick with Manic Panic. A lot of the purple is still in my hair after all this time, and it's faded in different colors all around, some pink and some deep purple. How do I get the color out of my hair for a fresh start?? I've heard of vitamin c pills but I'm not sure it would work. I really want to avoid doing a bleach bath but if it comes down to it, I think I've rejuvenated my hair enough over the past 7 months to survive a little more damage.

I'm fairly skinny at 133 lbs, but I have a bit of pudge around my stomach. I'm measured at a 34B, and most of my fat goes to my thighs, butt, and lower stomach.

Is this okay/ average/ normal? Is it possible for my figure to develop more in the next few years?

So there's this guy in a club I'm in, and his name is Cameron. He's a little chubby, a little shorter than me, and he usually just wears a sweatshirt, pants, and sneakers. His face is quite feminine, and he has a short haircut that rounds to upturn in the front. Don't know the name of the haircut, but it's common among females and males. Ambiguous name, ambiguous face, ambiguous clothes, ambiguous haircut. I thought he was a masculine girl for more than a month.

Anyways, it's gamer's club, and there's only about 2 girls among a load of guys. One day I came in and I was the only girl who showed up. Then Cameron walks in and I say to my group as he's passing by, "Yay! Now I'm not the only girl!" My boyfriend corrected me and said he was a guy. But the look on his face, and how he's never serious, I thought he was just making a joke. Cameron joined a conversation about an hour later and I called him a she. I was corrected again and apologized profusely. I made another slip-up the next time we spoke.

Honestly it still confuses me because I went a month thinking he was a she. I feel really bad about it to this day. Cameron and I are only acquaintances, so I'm a bit paranoid that I offended him and he thinks badly of me. Has any of you ever had an experience like this?

I used to use this crappy 2 in 1 Pantene shampoo and conditioner everyday, but I noticed how dry and tangled it would make my hair. So, I started a new routine of shampooing my hair and conditioning every other day. The days I would wash it were like heaven to my hair, it would be so silky and soft and I'd barely have to brush it! But on the off days my roots would get soo greasy! It bothers me very much. So then I tried just shampooing my roots then conditioning the rest of my hair everyday. It seems to be working so far. I'm using head and shoulders shampoo, and Pantene conditioner(which I plan to replace soon because of how it weakens my hair). Is it ok to keep this routine?

I'm a freshman in high school, and my dream career is to move to LA and work in the Entertainment industry, specifically for a web show/channel as an editor or actress. I love acting and I take drama and theatre courses at my high school. I'm an excellent actress and I usually take big parts in our plays, and I enjoy taking the lead in our projects. I also recently found that I love working with computers and design. I took a required introductory course to coding and technology, and I'm very fascinated with it and I plan on taking further courses. I've taken writing electives throughout middle school, and I've been on the yearbook team for 2 years. All my courses are honors/AP and my GPA is a 4.9 on a 6 point scale.

What majors and colleges would you recommend for me? I live in SC but I'd like to go to a college out of state.

My daughter is turning 15 in mid-October, and she wants to dress as a character called Poison Ivy for Halloween. The costume she wants consists of a strapless leotard and tights. Just last year she went to trick or treat with her little brother, dressed as a black cat with a knee-length skirt. But this year she plans on going to a Halloween party with her friends. This would be her first party. I'm really concerned about the nature of this costume, and what might happen at this party while she's wearing the costume. Are my concerns justified, or am I overreacting? Thank you.

So, this girl used to bully me back in middle school, and continues to attack me still, whether its online or in spreading rumors. It took a while, but I'm a lot stronger now, and I'm getting over it. But I know that she and her little friends are going to continue their petty bullying of me, and I'm tired of it. So, I'm asking you for some insults I could use to shut her up when I need to, or just some remarks I could say when I walk away. I know some of you will say just ignore her and such, don't sink to her level, and I'm not. I stayed quiet for a whole year, and when I finally started talking back and telling people the truth they started to back off.

So, got any insults for attention seekers, people who fake problems, people who act depressed and suicidal just for attention, girls who act like they're so depressed when a guy breaks up with them and then the next day they're moving on to obsess over the next guy? Thanks for any helpful answers!

I bleached my roots with the help of my mom today, they were really long and when I rinsed it all out I realized we didn't bleach a little horizontal stripe between my previously dyed hair and the newly bleached hair. It's only on one side of my hair, but its noticeable and dark. Should I bleach that stripe tomorrow or just leave it be?

I've been thinking about watching it, but I have trouble really getting into a series. Is it good? Does it grab your attention in the beginning?

My friend's much older boyfriend is taking advantage of her, pushing things farther and farther and getting more sexual with her each time they're together. This past year in middle school I was bullied intensely by a group of girls who used to be my best friends. This was emotionally traumatic for me and I almost committed suicide. It got better in the last couple months of school when I started being with my friends more and having more strength in myself. I've been staying at home this summer and I'm really anxious and scared.We'll be going to high school in a month and I'm terrified that it's gonna start back up again and even worse. I don't know why these girls' words and rumors have so much power over me. I'm stressed to my limits and I keep looking back over old messages and posts. I have nightmares every night about something going down in high school involving them. I pray that I don't have any classes with them, or even see them at all in high school. I'm really scared and I don't know what to do anymore and I feel like I've lost all my strength. What do I do??
