  • simple c++ question about if statements?

    If I have an if statement with multiple truth conditions like this:

    if(a || b || c || d || e || f =true)

    Is there a way to tell which condition was the accepted condition?

    In my case I need to choose one of the paths that leads to the most other paths.

    Like if (a || b || c || d || e || f =true)

    {

    if(a && b && c && d && e && f =true)

    then a;

    else if (b && a && c && d && e && f =true)

    then b;

    and this continues for 6! (six factorial) if statements.

    I'm sure there's a much, much better way of doing it.

  • I think I'm being robbed/murdered?

    I think I'm being robbed/murdered?

    I just went to an acquaintance of mine's house and I think he robbed me. We both work together at pizza hut. I don't really know him very well and I thought we got along fine but I think I was wrong. I think some background is necessary. I'm fairly well off, my parents pay for everything (I'm 21 and in college). Lower middle class. This guy has had a ****** up life and his girlfriend stresses him insanely and he has to take care of his kid. The only way he vents is by escaping with weed. He lives in a pretty run-down trailer and its rough. But I go over there and he shows me his gun. A bunch of my friends have guns, as would I if i had the money for one. Now, I'm stupid. This dude lives in a trailer so I naturally think it's so he can defend himself. I didn't think for once that he could be the guy people need defending from. When we're hanging out he's telling me about his problems and I'm kinda used to that too. Everyone talks about their problems. But then he pulls his gun out from under his shirt while I'm sitting there on his couch. His gun isn't drawn; simply out. He is showing me he has the power to kill me. His kid is playing with me and is placing dangerous objects around himself and the guy is paying no notice. Then he say's things like "You're lucky." and I realize then that my wallet is no longer in my pants. At that point I realize he has been insinuating all along that he is playing the pity card, and he invited me over to rob me. He stole my wallet and insinuated that if I make a scene, he'll shoot me. He, in casual conversation, mentioned things like entrapment, how he couldn't get another police charge, police had searched his house, he thought I was a cop. It's almost as though part of him was trying to warn me to stay away. I then say I have left something in the car and he follows me out. He then asks, very clearly, "Did you leave anything in the house?". I then say, "I think I left my wallet at home, because I don't have it". He seemed satisfied with that answer and let me go. It wasn't your usual end to hanging out. We hung out for like one hour (he commenced robbing you mode about 45 minutes into it). I think he robbed me because I have some money.

    This might all be in my head, but i think he followed me home and is in my house

  • Don't you get aggravated when the 'best answer' that gets chosen is the wrong one?

    I mean I try to be a helpful contributor to the yahoo answers community, and a lot of asker's choose an answer that is FLAT OUT WRONG, and it is simply mind-numbing because all you can do is leave a nasty comment :(

  • Does anyone know of an anime/manga that is about demons/demon hunters?

    Ok the title is a bit too vague. Here's what I'm looking for specifically: Does anyone know of any anime/manga that is about a demon hunter trying to hunt a demon (or vice versa), but a twixt their battles they SOMEHOW develop a romance for each other. [and possibly have the story continued in a way where both sides now hunt them :) ]

    A manga that is similar to this (i dont remember if it was about demons though) is Legend of Nereid, which I would recommend btw. Like I said, oddly specific. But I'm rather picky.
