Since this got eaten the first time, I'll rewrite it. I'm a graduate student pursuing my Ph.D in pharmaceutical sciences at a large university in California. Areas my work has focused on include benzodiazepine tranquilizers, mental illness and the use of antidepressants, and substance abuse treatment and recovery. In the latter area, I have my name on a paper that's presently in peer review involving a very large scale survey of outcomes of various addiction treatment programs across a wide range of substance abuses. Part of what I do requires a certain depth of understanding of human biology and the intimate details of the science involved in developing medical treatments. I can give decent answers outside my specific focus because of this. I welcome private questions or feedback concerning any topic.
