  • Is this the way to make all conservatives become liberals?

I have seen it said elsewhere that:

    --Conservatives generally resist change, and

    --Liberals generally welcome change.

Well, if the liberals are soon to get full control of the U.S. government, and if they can succeed in changing the government to be what they want it to be for a long enough period of time, wouldn't the roles of liberal and conservative flip? Liberals will resist changes to their new government, and conservatives will want nothing more than to change it.

  • Which network journalists are the most respectable and least biased?

My personal preference is for Tom Brokaw and Brian Williams. Peter Jennings is missed as well.

I have seen, and in some cases responded to, dozens of conservative questions aimed at liberals for which the askers select joke responses from other conservatives. That is their right--not very nice or mature, but their right nonetheless.

My question was clearly a question. I made the point of offering 10 points to the best thoughtful conservative response, and no points to short congratulatory responses from fellow liberals. Does this sound like abuse? Or could I have overstepped the terms and conditions? After reading the T&C sections on "trolls" and "cheating", it seems as though my offer of points was permissible.

For what it's worth, I reported the deletion of my question.

  • Which mainstream Q&A website has the smartest Republicans?

If it's Y!A, the GOP is even more craven and intellectually undernourished than I ever imagined. I'm seeing similar problems on the Democrat side, but the emotional turmoil of being attached to a losing candidate is really bringing the worst out of the Republicans.

Even if there isn't a more-wholesome forum for intelligent and considerate political debate on the web, reading the questions and answers here should tell everyone that the U.S. desperately needs to spend more money on education!
