  • My rental application has not been approved or denied but I applied 3 weeks ago?

I found the perfect condo. I put in the application with the $50 credit check fee. They checked my credit and saw 2 problems. 1 is a $500 "loan" (this, as I tried to explain to them, is a secured loan. I have not recieved any money, this is a tool to build up my credit.) The second is a $7,000 debt in collections that I am currently working out with my ex husband. They are concerned I don't make enough for the condo. To which I've told them I have plenty of money in the bank, if they require an extra deposit or paying several months up front im willing to do that. It's been 3 weeks and about 3 days ago I gave the realtor a call and said I think they've had plenty of time to decide and I need a yes or no because I was hoping to already have secured a rental and to let me know by the end of the week. Well I called and the realtor said he doesn't know anything more, and the landlord has not given an answer. Are they required to reply within a certain amount of time? Im going to look elsewhere, but it was just so perfect, the price, the location, the space.. I paid for the credit check for them to just not make a decision one way or another? Can they do this?

  • Why would a bank need to know about an apartment s energy and gas consumption? And am I required to give my apartments my account info?

I recieved a letter from my apartments home office saying that their bank has required them to track and report energy and gas consumption for the units in the property, and for them to do that, I need to submit my account numbers and sign a paper that grants them permission to access the usage information on my accounts. Do I have to give them this information if I did not previously sign anything? Could there be repercussions if I refuse to sign? And mostly, why would the bank want this info from them?

  • Car loan question?

I m planning to take out a car loan, under 10,000. I m wondering if it s better to take out a longer loan maybe 48 mo instead of say 12 or 24 if I m planing to pay it off early anyway (within 1 year ideally). I have a down payment, and soon i will get another chunk of money i plan on putting towards it. Im thinking in a few months if I m short on cash the smaller required payment might be useful, but I m not sure if the longer loan means i have to pay more interest in general, or if it would equal the same amount as a shorter loan if paid of at the same time.

  • Is there a term for this?

when coloring, (like in a coloring book) when you color heavily around the outline and then more lightly in the center?

so sick of this orange hair! pleeeeease help me?

I've already bleached my hair 3 times and used a toner, but my hair is still brassy. After the toner it looked a little better, but wtf, seriously? The toner was "natural blonde" when I'm thinking now I should have done ash blonde. I don't want to bleach my hair again and I am using toner shampoo already. Can I use another toner on my hair or what should I do?

  • can I bleach again?

The other day I did a bleach wash on my hair. My hair is naturally a dark dark brown, so it turned a god awful orange color. I deep conditioned, waited a few days and did a regular bleach. Better but still orange af. I think the problem was I used a 20v developer instead of 30v. So anyway it's been a week and I bought this great deep Conditioner, so my hair actually feels really soft and healthy. Do you think it's OK to bleach again? If so with the 20v again or switch to 30v?

  • i am due on the 18th of november, is waiting until Dec 1st to induce waiting too long?

I would really like to have my baby naturally, without induction. But if I have to induce I was going to wait until Dec 1st. Should I have it done before that? I am going to ask my doc at my next visit, but I am curious about it right now.

  • does it sound like i will have to be induced?

I am 40 weeks with my first baby and I have had the easiest, best pregnancy. I gained 30 lbs all in my belly, and maybe some in my butt lol. I do not feel tired or fatigued even tho I just stopped working a few days ago. I basically feel completely normal. I haven't lost my mucous plug yet, and have had barely any Braxton hicks contractions at all. When I do get them, they are not painful at all and go away after no more than 5 contractions. I cannot coax contractions with acupressure or nipple stimulation. I'm not even sure that the baby has dropped very much at all. I am nervous to have a medically induced labor, because I would rather do it naturally, but it feels like this baby isn't even close to coming out.. any thoughts or personal experiences on the matter?

  • sweet or girly drinks to order at a bar?

I'm turning 21 soon and I plan on hitting the town with my best friend who is already 22. We're going to probably go to some clubs or bars and I've been looking up drinks to order cuz they sound really good.. But I'm scared to order a drink and the bartender not know how to make it. I don't have any bar experience and my drinking experience is limited to vodka and orange juice and rum and coke. I like sweet drinks, even if they aren't that strong, and would just like suggestions on what to order when I go out. I asked my best friend what she drinks, but she mostly sticks to beer, which I don't like at all.

  • I feel like my doctor doesn't care about my birth plan?

On my last doctors visit (I am 32 weeks pregnant) I asked my doctor if they had a birth plan sheet they wanted me to fill out, or if I had to just write one out myself. My doc blew me off and said, "Oh we don't really do birth plans, because the hospitals are pretty routine." Now, I understand a birth plan is just a plan and can be changed at any time with medical needs, but that really made me feel like I am just another mom to be and my baby is just another birth. I don't exactly want my delivery to be routine, and even if they cannot comply with my requests (like to not be put on an IV unless needed, or not to clamp my baby's umbilical cord until it stops pulsating, or to have as few vaginal exams as necessary to avoid cervical inflammation) I would at least like to have some small thought in my head that I have an ounce of control over what is going to happen when I deliver. My OB doesn't seem to even want to offer me that! I'm not sure what to do about this.. My health insurance limits the OBs I can have to basically the ones I am already seeing, and whoever is on call that night delivers my baby. I'm really hoping it isn't the doc who told me that, because I feel like she won't even take the time to read it. This is making me kind of nervous, because I feel like my doc doesn't care and doesn't have my- or my baby's best interest at heart. what should I do?

  • How can i tell if this is prepartum depression or just moodiness and stress?

I am six and a half months pregnant with my first baby and lately i have been very on edge. I have a history of depression since I was 13 till I was 17. During which time I self-harmed. The women on my mom's side have a history of depression, especially postpartum. I have not had those feelings of depression for 4 years but now I'm getting that heavy feeling in my chest. I feel like everything I do is wrong and that I'm going to be a bad mom and my bfs medical bills are piling up, not to mention I'm moving back in with my parents, who caused me nothing but stress and aggravation growing up. I can't tell if this is just a mood swing brought on by stress or if I'm slipping back in to a real depression again. I'm scared to feel like I did at my lowest and I could really use a little guidance please.

  • Making a reese's cake. need advice?

Hi I'm making a cake for my bfs birthday. I am going to make two chocolate layers of cake and put chocolate icing on the outside. In the cake I'm going to put reese's pieces (the m&m like candies). Now what I'm wondering, is if I should also put m&ms or chocolate chips in the cake, and if so which one? And also if I should buy reese's peanut butter and layer that between the two cakes or if I should only do the regular chocolate icing OR the chocolate icing with crumbled reese's pb cups. The cake is going to be dense and moist like a pound cake and obviously very rich. I don't want to over do it, but I want it to be delcious. Any suggestions please??

  • my boyfriend refused an ambulance, but he was told he had to take one, now we're stuck with a bill?

He was in a car accident that he walked away from. He refused an ambulance, but the police officer said that he had to take one to the hospital. Now we have a 1000 dollar bill we have to pay . Is there anyway we can dispute this or at least get it lowered?

  • what would you consider the best lip balm?

I've heard eos is over rated and doesn't work that well. Burts bees actually is just really waxy. Maybelline baby lips works ok, but has to be reapplied much too often. I've heard the same about nivea. Heard mixed reviews on jack black lip care and "rose butter" (which I've seen several bands for, but I'm guessing they're basically the same.) I've heard really good things about beecology products, saying that its better than burts, but I'd rather buy something in a store than online and pay crazy s+h for a $3 tube of chapstick. So before I do that, what do you think is the most moisturizing and long lasting lip balm out there.

  • My lips are constantly chapped!?

I'm looking for advice or lip care products or some kind of routine to help my lips. They are always chapped and peeling. I drink water and avoid caffeine. I live in the desert which I am sure helps my lips out so much. I apply chap stick but it doesn't seem to do anything for me. Please any info or advice is appreciated.

  • i used to be so talented, how can i fix this?

Hi I used to be a talented poet, but as I've gotten older, things in my life have changed. They've changed for the better, but it seems like without the heartbreak and depression that I was going through in my writing prime, I'm nothing short of mediocre. Obviously I don't want to be depressed, but that seemed to fuel my creativity. How can I get that passion back without making myself miserable? Any advice would be great.

  • denied promotion because of pregnancy?

Hello I'm 15 weeks pregnant and live in Las Vegas, NV. I work at a pizza restaurant where recently 3 shift lead positions (all available shift lead positions) have just opened up. I am a model employee and have a great work ethic, and I told my manager that I would like to take up training for the position. he said that he thought i would be a great fit and had already talked to the next higher-up about promoting me. He said that he and the higher-up (COO) had decided that since I'm going on leave in several months that they would like to promote me after i come back from leave IF the position is still open, but they won't promote me while I'm pregnant. I'm really troubled by this, and i feel discriminated against. Is this legal for them to do? I do sort of see their point, because i'll be gone for a bit on leave.. However I can't shake the feeling that I'm being treated unfairly. is this legal for them to do?

  • Can I sue my old job?

I quit last month after giving 2 weeks notice and after a month they still haven't given me my final check. The check only had 1 day worth of pay on it, but in NV (where I live), I'm pretty sure they have to give it to you like immediately. Does anyone know if they are being unlawful, and if its worth it to do anything?

  • When to tell him that i've started dating?

My bf and I were dating for 2 and a half years and now we are broken up. (he's got a lot of issues to work out.) We still live together because we signed our lease in both of our names. And we are still friendly and I try to help him with his problems. We just sleep in separate rooms etc. but I have a date tomorrow with a long time friend of mine. Its the first date i've agreed to since my ex and I have been broken up. And I want to continue to enjoy being single now, but should I tell him I'm seeing other people? Maybe its none of his business? But I feel like if I keep it from him, and he find s out from someone else, he will be more hurt than if I tell him. Advice?
