I pay weekly at my current apartment and my security deposit was a week's rent. Am I right in knowing I need to give a week minimum notice if I am moving out because that is the terms of my payment plan?

If it was a month's security deposit I'd have to give a month's notice to vacate. I have been an at will (weekly) for 3 years now.

I am buying a home and am closing on July 31st and want to know when I have to tell my landlord. I was going to tell him today/tomorrow since I have a closing date and financing has gone though - but I don't want to lose my $150 and want to make sure (with having done research already) that I am doing the right thing by giving him notice in terms of my rent payment plan -

1. I pay rent weekly

2. My security deposit was 1 week's rent

3. I am an at will tenant

I give minimum 1 week's notice to vacate.

Right?!
