  • Nature-inspired last names?

I'm changing my last name. I want something feminine, bold, and beautiful. Something uncommon, made up.

    Examples of what I like:

    Rosewood

    Indigo

    Bluebird

    Everhart

I've checked name generators, baby name sites, and everything is so bland.

Can you help me come up with some things?

  • Puppy Born with Third Eyelids stuck halfway?

    Hey all,

My dachshund recently had puppies on the 4th of this month. They have all opened their eyes, and all appear to be very healthy. Two out of the three have opened their eyes completely, while the other seems to have his third eyelids unable to retract back into the corners of his eyes.

At first I thought he may have been born blind, but he reacts to light and seems as though he tries to look at things, but his third eyelid is in the way, and I believe it to be hindering his ability to fully open his eyes.

He does not have any eye infections, and it doesn't seem as though it bothers him. Is this common in puppies?

    Some additional info:

My dachshund carries the dapple gene, and was mated with a silver dapple male. I know now that when two dogs that carry the dapple gene mate, they can produce a puppy that has the markings of a "double dapple". Sometimes, double dapple puppies can be born with birth defects.

Please, any information will help me out a lot!

    Thank you.

  • Does the publish date on textbooks matter?

I am online buying textbooks for college. I'm trying to find the book I'm required to get at the cheapest price possible (like most college students do). The book I'm supposed to get is a 2nd edition and is published in 09. I'm finding only the exact book, 2nd edition and all, but published in 08. Does the publish date make a different as to what is inside the book? If I bought the one published in 08, will my book be different than those of my peers?

  • Cal Grant Form: GPA according to High School Records?

Hey Guys, I'm filling out a Cal Grant GPA Verification Form for a community college. I attended a state college for this past year and now due to family difficulties, I am going to attend a community college this year. My question is, when I fill out the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form, is it my GPA according to my high school records, or would I put down my GPA for that one year that I attended the state college?

  • Is it bad to transfer from a state college to a junior college?

I am having family issues right now, and it would be best for me to be closer to home than I am now, and the only way to do that is to transfer to the local junior college. I would like to transfer from the state college I am at now, to the junior college near home, and then transfer back into a different state college than the one before.

Currently, I am a lower division student, and have completed one year at a state university and would like to transfer to a junior college for a year, before permanently moving away to start my own life.

My question, put simply, is, do you guys think it would be terribly bad for me to transfer to a junior college for a year to earn enough credits to be considered an upper division student, then transfer out to a different state college later on?

I mean, it might look bad, but is it completely and tremendously horrible? I don't see why it matters what you do to get your bachelor's degree, as long as in the end, you have it, right?

Tell me what you guys think. What would you guys do?

  • Is there any way to work out your lower back?

Without straining it? Is it even possible?

I just like the look of a very toned back, and I've never heard of any sort of move that would tone the muscles in the lower back area.

  • Do Waist Trimmer Belts help?

I know that a waist trimmer belt isn't some sort of magic tool that will make me lose weight in 24 hours or some crazy crap like that, but if I work out consistently and diet right, will wearing a waist trimmer belt to the gym help somewhat with weight loss around the mid-section?
