  • Need advice on visiting Zihuatanejo?

My wife, and I are looking for a vacation rental in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. We're looking for something on the water within walking distance to restaurants, but we don't want to really stay at a hotel. Does anyone know of a place like that? If possible it'd be nice to have a maid service, and private pool, but not necessary. Thanks in advance!

  • Advice on traveling to Mauritius?

My wife, and I are traveling to Mauritius in March. We're thinking of staying at a resort in the North West called Paradise Cove. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to visit, restaurants to eat at, etc.? I think we'll probably take a day trip into Port Louis, and do some shopping, but if anyone can recommend a must-see on the island I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

  • Does anyone know much about foie gras?

Can anyone tell me the difference between block foie gras, and the block semi-cooked? I have some cans of block both duck, and goose, and not sure what to do with them. Also I'd like to purchase more off the petrossian.co.uk website, but there are other options like block semi-cooked with pieces, and I'm wondering what each option they have is good for. Also is there a difference between the canned, and jarred? Can I sear block foie gras the same as whole? If not, how should I serve it, just cold with a salad? I don't really like onion marmalade as often times I'm just not that keen on overly sweet mixed with savory. Anyhow, any advice you guys could give me would help a lot. Thanks in advance.

  • Where to eat Christmas Dinner in Paris?

My fiance, and I will be in Paris on Christmas, and we'll be staying in the Saint-Germain-des-Pres district near the Louvre. We'd like to find a place to have an authentic Christmas dinner, and would like to spend a hundred euro per person or less. Although for the right place we would spend more. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Our work has kept us apart for the last three Christmases, and I'd like this one to be very special. Merci beaucoup pour votre aide d'avance.

  • I am looking for the title of an Arabic song I heard in Marrakech...?

The song was on the radio all the time and it seemed to just repeat the word "Yalla" over and over.

  • Going to Morocco in November. Any suggestions?

Hiya, my fiance, myself, and a friend visiting from the states will be taking holiday in Morocco in November. We'd like to do some camel trekking and spend a couple of nights in the Sahara in traditional nomadic tents. Other than that I'm not sure where to go in Marekesh, or where to stay. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

  • 10 x 6 greenhouse in Scotland lighting issues?

I'm renting a place in Aberdeen that comes with a greenhouse which I'm getting a lot of use out of, but on one side of it there's a tall stone wall so my plants aren't getting as much light as I'd like them to. Does anyone have any experience with grow lights to supplement the sunlight on the side with the wall? If I can use LEDs I'd prefer it obviously because of the energy savings.

    Thanks.

  • Does anyone know anything about boat rentals on the Seine in Paris?

This weekend my fiance and I are staying on a boat on the Vltava River in Prague. If we like it, I'd like to do the same for our holiday in Paris this June. Either rent a small boat, or a room on a botel. If anyone has any information as to how to go about doing this in Paris, please let me know. Thanks.

  • I have to have something from the states packed and shipped to the UK for me.?

It's a Victor Victrola that the person I plan on purchasing it from won't package it or ship it so I have to hire a company to pack and ship it for me. Does anyone else have any experience with this? It's probably around 150 pounds. How would I go about doing this, and what would it cost?

    Thanks.

  • My wife and I are moving to Scotland, and we're wondering what to bring from the states.?

Specifically foodstuffs, and alcohol. We'll be bringing some bourbon for sure, but we'd like to know what sorts of things should we ship with our belongings that either won't be available or will be exorbitantly expensive. Thanks.

  • Buying new camcorder.?

Want to spend under 300 for a camcorder thats compatible with my mac. I've narrowed it down to two choices:

    http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DCR-HC52-Handycam-Camco...

    and

    http://www.amazon.com/Canon-ZR960-MiniDV-Camcorder...

Which one is better? The Sony or the Canon. Also, can any point me in the direction of the best extra battery to get for these.

    Thanks so much.
