  • Should the barn be responsible for my horse's injury?

    My wife has a horse that she boards at a local stable. Today she received a call that her horse was in an accident this morning. Apparently someone left a muck rake out and her horse stepped on it. Somehow his cornea was scratched. I'm not sure of the exact details on how that happened. Now he has to have emergency surgery to repair his cornea or he will lose his eye. My wife and the horse are on their way to the equine emergency hospital right now.

    So my question is: since the injury was due to something someone in the barn did (or didn't do), is the barn responsible for paying for the surgery and rehabilitation?

  • Change HD connection from IDE to SATA?

    I have two HDs and they are connected via IDE (master/slave). My mobo has SATA connections. Is it possible to change the connection from IDE to SATA for both HDs or will I need to do some extra changes to some settings or BIOS or something? Will there be any performance boost by switching from IDE to SATA?
