  • Writers and Readers: Continuation of my story (revised) and am asking for specifics?

I am adding this concept into a story I'm writing. How would you fit the first paragraph below within your own work? Where would you precede or proceed from here?

    This is the intro paragraph:

It was the life he lived, a life he loved. He loved her, and her, and both were stolen from him. He tried to recover those loves, to rescue their present for the future. Yet what was stolen from him, his loves and his life, was destroyed in the proverbial blink of an eye. He was destroyed, for now. Until he could avenge this past, their love and his life, he might never live in the future; which is now…

This is the paragraph I'm asking you to critique:

Everyone would gather on the 3rd Saturday of May

Hanging in the sand to view the fireworks display

Lively fires on the beach, singing songs whenever

'Though this is just a memory, scenes in my mind forever.

(How would you fit this into your current story you are writing?)

I know this may seem familiar to many Rush fans, however... I just had to try as this fits!

And yes Junebug, this is part of my story concerning the "two hers" and am awaiting your comments!

  • These 3 bands have a common theme among 3 separate songs; name the theme and songs.?

Iron Maiden, Starz, and Black Sabbath each have one song - all along same specific theme. Name those songs for each band respectively - and the answer has to be the title of the song for each band - then tell me the single theme each song has in common.
