  • Installing Left 4 Dead 2 steam updating?

    ok. So i've installed left 4 dead 2 from a disc through steam (like i have a choice anyway) and after ive installed it, i try to play it, but it has to update before i can play it which is fair enough except it says ive downloaded 51% (presumably this is from installing the game from the disc) and i have to download an additional 5gb even though ive installed the game and it takes up about 6gb. surely this cant be right. what is going on? is there another way to install it?

  • you can have multiple video cards, but what about multiple integrated graphics chips?

    This may sound stupid or far-fetched, but i don't know much about integrated graphics. we all know about crossfire and sli for having multiple video cards in one pc, but what if motherboard manufacturers could put about 4 integrated graphics chips, to increase video performance. looking at this article here http://www.anandtech.com/show/3871/the-sandy-bridg... the new sandy bridge graphics chip competes with a 5450, so it would be worth having more than one sandy bridge. Even though integrated graphics chips don't have their own dedicated memory, having enough RAM wouldn't be a problem because its abundant today. would my idea be possible?

  • Is this relationship inversely proportional?

    I did an experiment on how the density of an object affects how much it's affected by air resistance when falling (if that makes sense). I have a graph with time of fall on the y-axis and density on the x-axis. Here's what i have plotted

    y = 4.83 when x = 93.918

    y = 3.63 when x = 204.36

    y = 2.90 when x = 709.00

    y = 2.75 when x = 1128.8

    so is this relationship inversely proportional or a negative linear line?

  • Controlling virtual CD speed?

    I'm currently using alcohol 52% to run a DVD-rom game (my other computer does not have a dvd drive) and the game takes long to respond when i move the mouse or press any keys. Is their a way of speeding up how fast a virtual cd runs with alcohol 52% or any other program? To play the game i need to be able to run the virtual cd at x16. I currently do not know how fast the virtual cd is running. If their is a way of speeding a virtual cd up please tell me the program to use or how to do it with alcohol 52%.

    I have all the recommended specs for the game except the DVD drive of course so you can't tell me to upgrade my ram or anything like that.

  • what temperature is suitable for a laptop, should i overclock?

    i ran a prime95 torture test to see if their were any errors before i overclocked my laptop's cpu. Their were no errors, but i saw that my core temperature got up to about 84 degrees celcius (i think it was celcius anyway). Should i overclock and if i could is their a way of just increasing the multiplier from

    11 x 133MHz to 12 x 133Mhz (intel pentium dual CPU T2310 @ 1.46GHz.)

    I know this is kinda two questions but i really need help. thanks.
