  • Do smokers realize how bad they really smell?

I know a smoker knows it is a bad smell but I've asked my friends who smoke and some have compared it to somebody with bad odor or something which is no where near as strong as someone who just lit up. I think this is why people who quit smoking become the very militant anti smoking types because they finally realize the full extent of what others around them knew all along.

  • Why do people start smoking? I'm sincerely looking for input.?

The #1 biggest reason I've heard was "stress". However, if you are smoking your VERY FIRST cigarette, hacking and coughing isn't going to be a stress reliever. Once you force yourself to continue past that unpleasant time (after several cigarettes) and start to become addicted to it, THEN it becomes a stress reliever...but not at first.

So I'm looking for honest answers of why people force themselves past that initial hacking and coughing to get to that point? I've always wondered and am sincerely seeking input.

  • Why do people blame stress as a reason they started smoking?

Any non smoker who inhales their first, second and third (and so on) drag is going to cough and gag at first. It isn't pleasant or comforting at all. You force yourself past the unpleasantness until you can finally bear it and then eventually become addicted to it. I've watched both my sisters go through this phase. as well as many of my friends when we were young. They would brag about it when they could actually get to the point to where they could stand smoking a cigarette without coughing and actually like it.

So if I'm stressed and try smoking for the first time, it's not going to be a stress reliever. Now once you're addicted to it it becomes a stress reliever...but not when you first got started...so why blame stress as your reason for starting? I believe most people start due to pier pressure to fit in or look cool but don't want to admit that later in life so they say they started because of stress.

I'm a non smoker who has always been curious about this. I try to have an open mind. If there's another logical reason or angle I'm not considering please let me know. I'm looking for any input.

  • If I watch an infected movie clip on my tablet running an android 2.2 system or higher. Will I get infected?

I'm considering buying a tablet with an android 2.2 or higher. Forums I've read seem to think you don't need AV protection on android. When I open a movie clip, am I downloading? If so, does the android system protect me some how??? I just want to know how to safely surf the net (open movie clips and what not) without infecting my new tablet.

  • I know psycopaths have a disconnect with feeling remorse...however?

If they treated you in a negative way and you returned that same treatment to them...would they realize or understand that they deserved that treatment? Would they be able to put 2 and 2 together and understand their actions caused your reaction?

  • When I hit "internet options" and try to delete cookies, browsing histyory and everything else...?

...the deleting process never ends. The box with the little bar that goes back and forth stays up forever. It usually only takes a minute or two to delete everything. Now it doesn't delete anything. Can someone tell me why? I'd really appreciate any input.

  • Why do people drive with their brights on?

I know on certain occasions someone might have a headlight out and drive with their brights on so they don't get a ticket. Other than this...WHY????

  • Do people who drive with their high beams on get annoyed by high beams from others?

For that matter, this question can be asked of many subjects like "Do people who don't use their turn signals get annoyed when they're stuck waiting at an intersection because someone else didn't use their turn signal to indicate they were turning?" I just want to know what goes on in the minds of people who do things to others that they don't like themselves.
