Would you consider the recently arrested people who plotted to assassinate Obama "terrorists" and why/why not?
1. I do believe these are home grown terrorists. Do you? Why or why not?
2. Why is no one asking Obama what he'd do with them?
3. What do you think should be done with them?
15 AnswersElections1 decade agoDo you feel the Ayers connection is relevant and fair game?
I was ho-hum about it but watch this CNN piece...
36 AnswersElections1 decade agoWere you disappointed in the second debate?
I dunno - I just thought it was an awful debate loaded with finger pointing on both sides and I was HIGHLY disappointed in the questions chosen. What I like about Town Hall stuff is you get different types of questions from REAL people who are not afraid to ask about certain subjects. It looks like all that was thrown out the window in favor of normal, talking point-related questions like, "How will you solve this and that." The only good one was the last one about "what don't you know". More like that would have been great.
Neither of these guys came off well to me, and they certainly didn't say anything new or different from their stump positions, outside of that McCain thing about buying out the loans which was a weird time to just spit that out...in the middle of a debate..
I was highly disappointed in that debate as a whole. It did NOTHING to sway my indecisiveness about who to vote for and I'm left with the same dilemma of voting for the lesser of the two evils. Trouble is, I can't determine which of the two is the lesser evil. Much like the last election.
I am entirely at a loss with less than a month to go.

He warned people years ago.
1 AnswerElections1 decade agoHow much are these debates going to influence your vote?
I admit that I'm squarely in the center and not sure which way to go. These debates and how the candidates handle them (including VPs) are really going to seal the deal for me. Whoever comes off as speaking the most from the heart and less from a script may just swing me one way or the other.
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoDo you think gender will come up in the Biden/Palin debate?
3 AnswersElections1 decade agoOverturning Roe vs. Wade?
I personally do not believe that overturning this law is a good idea. Frankly, I think we'll see revolts akin to the LA riots, maybe worse. People should be able to make their own decisions in all aspects of their private lives. If they want to be stupid and irresponsible, it's they who have to live with that and it doesn't affect me.
That said, do you really think that a McCain/Palin administration would fight to overturn R v.W and how easy/hard do you think it would be to do so? Is all it would take would be a new Supreme Court Justice who's conservative enough? Are there more blockades to go through?
Personally I think it would be disastrous to just outlaw the right to choose. I would, however, outlaw it after a certain amount of time - perhaps third trimester with the only other case being it was for the health/life of the mother.
What do you all think? Do you think it would be political suicide to overturn this? I see nothing but trouble in doing so but I'm just a guy in the middle.
38 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhere in the world is Barack Obama?
At the convention, Obama first said he was in St. Louis MO. while he was actually in Kansas City. Then his daughter asked where he was again and he got a chance to correct himself, saying Kansas City.
Now I don't have a problem with the gaffe itself. What I'm saying is that I'm willing to bet money that if it was McCain that made that gaffe, the media and the "left" would start up with the ageism jokes and Alzheimer's attacks.
What are your thoughts?

I found this article very interesting.
22 AnswersElections1 decade agoAnyone for Joe Biden?
He said he didn't think Obama was ready to be president yet, saying it's "not something that lends itself to on-the-job training." He offended some blacks when on the first day as an official presidential candidate he tried to compliment Obama as "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean."
15 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow do you feel about this latest McCain Quote
"Government is too big, he wants to grow it. Taxes are to high, he wants to raise them," McCain said. "Congress spends too much and he proposes more. We need more energy and he's against producing it. We're finally winning in Iraq, and he wants to forfeit."
18 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes Clinton love McCain?
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat's up with the Obama/Ludacris thing...
Obama calls Ludacris a great talent and lets the guy raise money for him... but now throws him under the bus.
You get in bed with the dogs...wake up with fleas.
It's like a mini-Wright controversy, eh? What do you think about all this. Big deal or small potatoes?
16 AnswersElections1 decade agoDoes this election seem more like a popularity contest to you?
11 AnswersElections1 decade agoLooking at the headlines lately, doesn't it seem that...?
Obama is acting like he already has the job?
15 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs anyone else getting sick of hearing the phrases...?
"This is our moment..." and "Turn the page" and "Change this or that"? I know it's his thing but man...it's getting thin.
25 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat would Obama and McCain do if Iran detonated a nuclear bomb in Israel and wiped it out completely?
Does either candidate have ideas on how they might handle this situation? Has anyone asked them this yet? Have they talked about it? I'm not interested in your personal speculation on what they MIGHT do, but more interested in what they have said/done/implied about this sort of thing. Try to keep it to facts/quotes and keep it friendly - thanks!
