SATA 3 Gbps and SATA 6 Gbps on same motherboard. Will it work?
I have Gigabyte GA A55M S2V mainboard. It has six SATA 3 Gbps ports. I have upgraded my pc, so I didn't change my HDD, which was a 160 GB SATA 3 Gbps HDD. But now, I have bought a new 1 TB HDD, which turned out to be a SATA 6 Gbps HDD.
My question is will my mainboard support this SATA 6 Gbps HDD, and if yes will it work perfectly together with my old SATA 3 Gbps HDD?
I want to use them both at the same time in my PC. Please answer all my questions.
Thanks!!!
