my son is 10 days old and refuses to sleep any other place than on my chest. does anyone have any suggestions or pointers? any help would be appreciated!!

I am 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant and my doctor will be doing a ultrasound to possibly see if i need to be induced due to my babies size. I have Gestational diabetes. Has anyone ever been induced due to GD or the babies size? And if so how big was your baby?

I attempted to take the 3 hr glucose test today and i ended up passing out and vomiting about 45 minutes into it. From expereince, is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening again? Im scheduled to take it again in 3 days. Any advice would be great!

I am 28 weeks pregnant and last Saturday i started developing a UTI so i call my Dr. and he called in a Rx for a antibiotic. Today is the last day i have on my anitbiotic and when i woke up this morning the burning started again. I have a doctor appt this Tuesday. Should i wait to talk to hi about it then or call him now? This is my first pregnancy and i am kind of worried. Thanks for your help!

I have been having problems with my blood sugar and lood pressure since i have been pregnant. I am 17 weeks btw. My doctor has scheduled me to have a diabetes test. Has anyone ever experienced this and what should i expect? Thanks in advance!

When i went for a 8 wk scan the babies heart rate was 168 and then i went back at 11 wks and the heart rate was 164. Everyone keeps telling my its a girl because the heart rate is so high. What do you think and do you think there is any truth behind the reasoning? What were your experiences with your babies heartbeat and the gender?

I have been haveing terrible lower back pain that has spread to my right leg. I am 8w4d pregnant and this is my first baby. I was wondering what you pregnaant ladies would do in my shoes. I called my obgyn and explained to his receptionist what was going on with my back and asked if it was anything i should be concerned about. Well he was supposed to call me back and he never did. I called him at 9am this morning and still nothing. So i called the after hours number and the operator for the hospital was really rude to me. I explained to them what was going on and just asked if i should be concerned and they asked me what i expected to accomplish over the phone. Well that didnt set very well with my hormones and the pain i was going through so i got upset with her for being rude. She is supposed to relay the message to the doctor not criticize me. So she called the doctor's nurse and she said if i think it is an emergency then i need to come to the ER. Well idk if it is an emergency or not this is my first pregnancy. I just want some sound advice from a medical professional. Would you ladies switch doctors or stick it out with this jackass? i ended up calling the 24-hr nurse hotline from my health insurance and she helped me. Any advice would be great! Thank you!

I am 8w4d pregnant and i know this may be a silly question but is it normal to feel like you are starving all the time? I eat relatively healthy and when i snack i try to snack on healthy snacks like fruit or anything whole wheat. I can eat supper and not even an hour later i feel like i havent ate in days. Liek i said i know this is probably silly, but is this normal? Also, this is my first pregnancy. Thank you for your time and any answers or inspiration you may have!

My sister was born 6 yrs before me and she had spina bifidia. I am currently 6 wks pregnant and i was wondering what my chances were or the liklihood of my baby having the same disease. I know there are no for sure answers but im am just looking for some peace of mind. Thank you.

First of all, i have irregular periods and my last period was Nov 5 and it lasted 5 days. Previous to that, i hadnt had a period for 2 months. Long story short, i went to the ER for serious abdominal cramps. After having every test known to man, i was told i have a ovarian cyst on my right ovary. The docot said it was nothing to worry about and he scheduled another ultrasound. I guess i am racking my brain because my husband and i are ttc for about 5 months now. If i was pregnant wouldnt the symtpoms already be showing since my last period was Nov 5th and the last day was Nov 10th?
