The furthest I have achieved with mathematics is pre-algebra. I have never learned beyond that point. I blame it on the lack of motivation in my school system. I remember being in a parent-teacher conference and playing the "stupid" student sitting there looking as if I was zoning out and not even listening to the conversation between the teachers and my parents.

It's been years since that conversation and was when I was attending middle school. But there was one thing I remember that the teachers said. They had mentioned that the majority of the students didn't want to learn anything and they really do not care if they learn or not because "It will be their fault in high school". Because of that negative attitude in middle school I never learned mathematics properly. Let alone any other subject than Art & English. Both teachers were ex-military. Very structured and formal. (Which I wish all other teachers were like)

I then entered high school and the teachers were practically the same as my middle school teachers. Dead beats and the only imprint they left in my mind was my science teacher. Why? Because he hit on the girls in my class.

I dreaded going to school and dropped out. About a week later I had my G.E.D. in my hands.

So I never really learned any math. But I strive to learn more. I read history books and anything else that I can whenever I get the chance.

I would try and attend my local community college. But I haven't left my town and it full of deadbeat teachers. (I went there for a certificate in culinary arts, had to take some general studies to pass. Needless to say. I couldn't even pass an English course because the professor cared more about his blackberry than teaching the class.

Maybe it's my town. Maybe it's me. I cannot afford to uproot from my town and go somewhere new just yet. So my question to all of you is. How can I learn math? Beyond Algebra.

My ideal career is something in Technology but I do not have a great mathematical background. So when I look at those colleges that offer the degree. I feel discouraged since I know I lack in that area.

Right now my finances are really bad and I cannot afford to visit a vet until next month. I am trying to figure out what may be wrong with my dog.

I have a 10 year old American red nose pit bull. She is really friendly, loves people, and very docile. But lately she has been barking at everything that comes by the window. (I live in an apartment complex)

When I take her out for walks and she see's someone she will bark at them like they are going to attack and the hair from the tip of her head down to her tail will stand up. It's like a little line all the way down her back.

Then she will get really scared and run back to the apartment. When she get's into the apartment she will defecate all over the floor.

A friend mentioned that it may be depression or canine cognitive disorder. But I am hoping it is something minimal as the last thing I want to do is put my dog down.

So if anyone can help out, I would greatly appreciate it.

So far her aggression hasn't gotten really bad but I fear that soon she will flip out and attack someone.

I have a mother in the jail system. She has not been convicted of any crimes and is awaiting pretrial. She has mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder. I have to pickup her medication from a pharmacy and take it to the jail. But that is not related to the question.

The jail and the nurses sometimes do not give her medicine to her. They will play mind games and say that the jail states that she does not take medication, even though I take her medication to the people myself. I have been for the last 6 months.

At times she will get very angry and start mouthing off at them with the top of her lungs. Because of that she is punished and not served food for that entire day. Sometimes they will not let her shower. She has told me that they will turn on the lights as if she is to wake up and get ready for the day and then she will look out further and see that the other jail cell lights are off.

Is this considered a form of torture? If so what can I do? I reside in the United States. I know for sure that if this is considered a form of torture that she is having her rights violated. I thought that if she isn't convicted of a crime her rights aren't signed away to a jail system.

Is there anyone I can contact to get help, even just some type of advice? I have tried contacting the detention center and all they do is deny it or put me through so many transfers that I eventually get hung up on.

This whole ordeal is corrupt. Her case is corrupt. I believe its because it is election year in my city so the prosecutor is just trying to make a name for himself.

I had found out leaked information from a person in the grand jury against my mother. They said that they tried to ask questions about her case and the prosecutor said that he could not release that information. I know she is innocent but I can't do anything. I paid $5000 to a bunk lawyer who has only talked to her 4 times in the last 6 months. He doesn't fight for her and she has even tried to fire the attorney and the judge wouldn't let her.

I am stuck in a bind and I really need some kind of help. Please serious answers. This isn't some kind of trolling question.

Sorry that I have ventured so far from the question just that I really need advice. It seems as if the detectives involved and anyone apart of the case is all crooked.

I have been to some of her court hearings for a conditions of release. The prosecutor had shown that they do not have any definitive evidence against her. They are holding her for conspiracy charges.

There is no physical evidence against her. There isn't even DNA evidence against her. It is the person's word against hers. But it would have been a simple domestic violence case if the person that called the police on my brother (one being charged with agg. assault plus other bogus charges) if she had not ran to a victims advocate group.

This group called A. Place, has so much pull with the court that they have set a million dollar bail on my brother. There is people in his unit that have similar charges that do not have million dollar bails. The only people I see getting those is people with murder.

My mothers bail had started out with $850, 000. Then was dropped to $500,00 and is now a CASH only bond of $17,500.

Please. I need advice. I do not know if this is helpful information but I do have general power of attorney from my mother.

I didn't know how to word the title. I am 19 years old and have had two knee surgeries. (My L&R knees) They removed my plica bands and as well did some microscopic surgery for a micro-fracture. [Doc said my knee's were like an 80 year olds and it looked like crab meat] It has been 2 years since the surgeries.

I am slightly overweight and the best way that I know to lose weight is by running. Sadly, I cannot run. Whenever I run my knees hurt horribly afterward.

I am an outdoor kind of person so running on the treadmill and elliptical is out of the question. Is there knee braces or over the counter aids that can help me. I REALLY wish I could run again!

I have a doctors appointment with my knee doctor to find methods but he's booked and my appointment isn't until 4 months. That is quite a while and 4 months of running can really help in weight loss.

If you can suggest tips or even alternative methods, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am wondering if I should sue my county for unlawful arrest? A few weeks ago I was left a note on my door from the sheriff's that I needed to go in A.S.A.P. for something. We called in and someone told us it was to pick up papers and it was a civil matter. Well I went in and after waiting about 15 minutes a sheriff officer came to me and told me I was under arrest. I was under arrest for missing jury duty (in the end it was a mistake on the county's end and miscommunication on my part)

Now here is where I think it was unlawful. When I was arrested they had me walk all the way over to the superior court. The court was walking distance from the sheriff's office but I still think it was like they were parading me to the court. As well I don't think it's right to arrest someone because of missing jury duty. I felt like a criminal and while I was waiting to see the judge I was hearing cases of drug charges and these people who should be arrested were not in handcuffs but coming in to hear their charges and go home for another scheduled court hearing. Granted that they may have been arrested in the beginning and are off on bail the fact is you don't arrest someone for missing jury duty period. When you arrest someone it is for a criminal act.

I have an 8 year old dog. As much as I take her out to do her thing she never goes outside. Not unless she really needs to go.

I had adopted her at 2 years old so I don't know if she was pad trained or not but as far as I know she tends to like "Going" on carpeted areas. We have transitioned most of the house to tile because of this.

Is it just a "thing"? My dog can only go bathroom on carpets. An example is that if we don't remove the bathroom mat, in the morning she will have peed all over the thing.

I am truly getting tired of it and can't wait till my other paycheck comes in so that the rest of the house will finally be tiled.

Firstly I am a dude. Well to the point now. I am looking into getting into makeup because its a form of art and it really caught my eye. So I need everyone's help because I have no idea where to start. I do know that men can wear makeup but I also want to get into doing girls makeup on a girl.

Right now I write because I want someone to find out who or what I am. In my family, my Christian family, they think that I am being lied to by the devil. I recently shared my heart to them and explain in my best meaning of words of who I was. I am a black sheep in my household. They do not understand the thoughts and the emotions that I feel. This writing will sound selfish and all about the author, so do not add your biased views to this. I am going to write about who I am just so that those out there reading this writing may be able to find out who or what I am. Please excuse my lack of punctuation or spelling, I am not the best.

I view myself as a being but not associated with this world. I deny my existence of being human. I may look or be human but my thoughts are not bound to logic or faith but rather something unexplained. Inside my mind, I want to do destruction. I see destruction as the beauty of creation. When something dies, something else will come after it. This world I see now needs to be destroyed but not entirely. Maybe someone should start a nuclear war? But my views in this world are not accepted. I cannot find a term that explains who I am. I wish I had a term like autistic or bi-polar. There is nothing that I know of that explains who I am. Mentally I am sane but my thoughts are insane. I cannot ever go out and do destruction because my body isn’t physically made to be. I have bad knees and I am nowhere near fit to join an army and survive. You can say that I am just a useless boy with a wild imagination.

All of my life I have been a failure. I cannot seem to complete ANYTHING. I didn’t complete a full book, I didn’t learn any instruments, I didn’t achieve any awards in life, I didn’t even graduate high school. All I can say is that who I am…I want to find a label of who I am.

I do not want to be like everyone else. I do not want to be a part of this society. I want to be away from this world and claim to not be a human being. My mind and my thoughts are unfit for this world. I see things in a whole new perspective. The majority of society or people view things as logical, realist, or by faith. I see my thoughts as none of these.

I am only 18 years old, I know nothing knowledgeable. So those out there who are wise in this world, help me to find out who I am. I want to be ACCEPTED in this world as a different person but I do not want to be alone. Is there a group or even another person out there who is sane but thinks like I do?

I just want a label so that I can be accepted in terms with society.

I hope I made sense and to those out there about to voice their opinions. Please be helping I want to find out what the hell I am. Throw things at me, such as terms and the like. I want to find out who I am. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hey a friend of mine was really thoughtful and bought me a rip of the nano. It's one of those fake nano's mp3/mp4 kind. I am 17 years old. I have a problem with sleeping. I cannot have a normal sleep pattern for longer than a week. I say that it is my higher brian function because my mind will not stop! Also when I go to sleep even at a decent time such as 10 PM, I will only be able to sleep for a few hours (2-4) and then have a hard time sleeping. I know that I need medical help but I would like to try over the counter remedies before I go to the doctor and have him prescribe something that I could have just done by myself.

So here is my question:

What kind of medicines OTC can I take that won't have an addiction effect to me.

I have used benadryl and Tylenol PM, but they take at least a few hours to hit my system. Also I have literally drank a whole bottle of benadryl until it hit my system an hour later and I only slept for about 5 hours.

Yes I am still going to the doctor but it usually takes a few weeks to get in and I need to get something right away until i get professional medical help.

Also no I won't go to an urgent care/walk in center. I don't trust Physician Assistants, they are ok but the people in my town aren't the smartest and I'd rather have a doctor.

I have a little 2 year old nephew that has Hand, Foot, Mouth, Disease. Anyways this is the first time I am dealing with this kind of virus and don't know what to do.

So to any parents that have gone through this.

What should I feed him. I have literally tried everything. He won't eat. It's been two days and he has lost 8 pounds. If I don't find something for him to eat, he is going to be in the hospital soon.

Also any precautions or tips would help as well.

I had stretched up my ears to 9/16 (22mm) and now I am finally letting them go because I have a future potential job.

But anyways... my ears are really sore and they look raw from the inside! Is that bad or is it just a way of healing?

My problem has been going on for about a month now. It doesn' t bother me, just that I am curious what it is.

My symptoms:

When I tend to look at the wall, ground, tv, computer screen, my eyes jitter.

They tend to jitter constantly when looking at electronics but that might just be something else.

As well sometimes I will look at an object such as a cup on the table and it will shift quickly like it moved.

I don't know what is wrong with my eyes and so far my sight has reduced quite a bit.

Anyone know what the problem is?

I already know about the "point of no return", I have already passed that. I also know I will need surgery to "repair" my ears, so no comments like these. Please serious answers, thanks :)

My baby nephew is about to turn 2 in a few months. But this question is when he wakes up his stomach is flat and normal looking but when he eats something his stomach tends to bloat out and he has a pot belly for the rest of the day. His digestive tract seems fine since he goes about times a day, he eats normal and he is a happy hyperactive toddler, I am just curious as to why his stomach does this?

I am asking this question toward those who were crazy like me and stretched far tooo fast. I have gone from a 14g piercing to a 7/16 now in 1 month and 1 week. No blowouts. All tapers and went up by normal size w/ tapers. So I am just wondering how do you sleep cause my ears are bloodshot red and they throb like hell.

Hopefully you guys can reply before i sleep wrong and wake up with more pain =/
