The Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index hit an all-time (41 year) low of 38.0 this month. This is terrible news for our economy, since roughly 2/3 of the economy is based on money circulation driven by retail sales.

By contrast, the lowest Consumer Confidence measurement during the Clinton administration was 119.9, during the dot-com bust in 1998.

My personal experience:

I did early voting in Tampa, FL, today. From start to finish was 1 hour, 20 minutes. Lots of enthusiastic people in line. Several mentioned they were first-time voters. Polls were very well organized, and the workers were friendly. Overall, it was better than previous voting experiences.

I think that campaign staffer went on a shopping spree for herself, then delivered a handful of outfits to Palin, but took the rest for herself.

Some cable news channels had a teaser about it. But I don't remember any war ?

The girl who claimed to have been robbed and had a "B" scratched into her cheek has just been arrested for making a false report. Is Hannity going to apologize for accusing Obama supporters ?

Early Voting is going on in FL and GA now. I just heard my area, Tampa FL, is likely to be important in determining who wins FL's 27 electoral votes.

News reports show 45 min to 4 hour waits for early voters.

How long are the lines in your area ?

After all, true Conservatives think the private sector is better with anything related to finance.

Or, does he have any experience in private business ?

Just last weekend, our government announced plans to take partial ownership of several commercial banks. Meanwhile, other governments are dumping tons of money into their banks. This is an obvious worldwide swing toward Socialism, and the international stock markets are rising.

Is there any other explanation for this market surge ?

Bush is revered by Republicans, so what's up with this ?

Why do you feel the Republican Party represents your interests ? You can tell by the way both parties handled the Financial Bailout - that neither party is conservative. Why didn't you get more serious in supporting Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney ?

Even though I'm not a Dubya supporter, I actually feel sorry for the guy.

He had mentioned several times during the debates, that we should go into Pakistan to get Bin Laden. McCain was opposed to this, and chastised Obama for saying it publicly.

However, today the US military had its 4th cross-border raid into Pakistan. It is a matter of time before the Repubs claim credit for getting Bin Laden.

How is that supposed to work ?

I can't believe he has said this 3 times already during this debate. What do you think about this idea ?

They have come a long way in such a short time. And their economy is not based completely on oil, but is actually a trade center. Are they actually going to pass the US as a trade hub ?
