Is madden 13 draft going to be better than madden 11?
I have madden 11 and since the draft in franchise mode was awful I did not get madden 12. The problems I have is it seems all first round picks seem to not rate over 70, the speeds don't reflect their 40 time, and most playets rated in the first 2 rounds come from unknown schools instead of major ones like Alabama and Oklahoma State. Is madden 12 any better and will madden 13 be better than 11?
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoGhost hunting using everyday items?
SO me and a few friends are really getting into the paranormal and wanna try our hands at ghost hunting. However alot of the equipment sounds expensive. Are there things we can use from around our homes? Stuff like voice recorders on cellphones, digital cameras? I have a voice recorder on my old blackberry. Can that be used to pick up EVPs? Also I saw at radio shack the device used as a ghost box for $40.00 but I am afraid to modify it and end up breaking it. Can a regular handheld radio work if it is set to an open frequency that no stations are broadcasting on? Just curious about this.
5 AnswersParanormal Phenomena9 years agoIs 13 months old too young to stay with Dad for 2 weeks?
I was suppose to have my son for a month in the summer but due to work and the lack of vacation time available I will only have him for 2 weeks in the summer per court agreement. The dates I selected will have my son being 13 months old. I live 45 miles from him and his mother. He is currently 9 months old. My parents and brother are coming down for those 2 weeks to visit and help.
Now his mom is saying that the 2 week visit will not happen. She claims it isn't good for him. However she just got back with him from a 1 week vacation to Illinois and plans to take him for a week to visit her father in Arizona. We live in Texas. So my question is...is 13 months old too young for my son to be with me for 2 weeks 45 miles from his mother?? Personally I think she just doesn't want to be away from him for that long even though I have invited her to visit with him throughout the 2 week period. I think she is thinking of him in present tense (9 months old) and not in the future (when he will be 13 months old). What do you all think? I love my son and these 24 hour weekly visits are great but we miss eachother, and could use a 2 week visit to build on the bond we have

1 AnswerElections9 years agoDid earlier bottle feeding agitate son's Gurd hours later?!?!?
Okay, so I had my son overnight (separated parents) and he is 5 months old. The night before his mother told me to use "slow flow" nipples for his bottle feedings. The next morning my mother, who was visiting her grandson and me, prepared his morning bottle while I was changing his diaper. She accidentally grabbed one of the bottles I purchased (fast flow) instead of the bottles provided by my son's mother (slow flow). I was unaware of this and fed him the bottle. His last swallow was at 5:30am.
My mother and I dropped him off at his mother's home at 9:00am and throughout those 3.5 hours he never cried, fussed, vomited, or spit up anything!! Then at 12 noon, his mother tells me that he has been vomiting and blamed us, stating that the fast flow nipples agitated his GURD and thus is causing vomiting. I called his doctor and a nurse assured me that since 3.5 hours passed since the last feeding with no incidents, that his vomiting can't be tied to the bottle.
My son's mother went irate that I called the doctor and suddenly said the doctor herself said it was tied to the feeding and that my son started vomiting at 9:30am. (Note: at 9:11am, my mother and I turned down her offer to go out for dinner with her.)
Even if my son did vomit at 9:30am, I figured 4 hours after a feeding is more than enough time for his stomach to digest the 6oz of formula and thus wouldn't cause his gurd. Am I right or did I in fact cause a problem for my little man??? The nurse I spoke with said if the bottle feeding was the problem, he would have vomited 30 minutes to an hour after the last feeding. Please help with any experience and/or advise

2 AnswersNewborn & Baby10 years agoCan my son's mother take him out of state for vacation without permission and/or notification?
In the middle of a custody battle with ex girlfriend. We both are under a geographical restriction to our city and the bordering counties. I recently discovered that she is planning to take our son for Thanksgiving out of state to visit her family. She has yet to tell me or the court about this, and she presently doesn't know that I am aware of this. Can she do this? Does she need my permission or at least the court's permission? Or does she just have to notify both me and the court in writing with a promise she will return with the child. We live in Texas.

1 AnswerOther - Pregnancy & Parenting10 years agoWhat do I get as far as cash if I close my life insurance policy?
Recently I have begun to face some financial situations. I am thinking about closing my life insurance policy to help me cover some debts and maybe later down the road purchase a better/cheaper policy. If I do this, what can I expect as far as a check from the company? Do I just get back the money I put into it? ie: my money from all the premiums I've paid.
7 AnswersInsurance10 years agoCrashed hardrive being sent back for recycling. Is it safe?
My laptop harddrive has crashed and dead according to tech support. With the warranty I have, HP is exchanging it. They told me they will just "recycle" the old/crashed hardrive. My concern is that I have had my identity stolen before and lost alot of money. I don't want it happening again. I bank online, pay bills online, shop online, and just have privacy concerns. Will they in fact just throw away the bad hardrive or attempt to clean it up and fix it in order to re-use it? They tell me that since it has crashed from a virus, that there isn't anything on the drive to even look at and that my identity and privacy are safe. Should I trust them or should I just throw it away myself and pay the $100 for the new drive?
3 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoBaby now due a month before original due date??!?!?!?
My ex-girlfriend is pregnant with what I believed was my son. We are no longer together and things are getting worse despite my wishes for everything to work out.
The thing that is bothering me right now is the due date is June 29th. She just told me that "they expect the baby to be here by the end of THIS month." "They" I assume means the doctors. Would a doctor project a baby to be born a month early? Or would they only say something like that if the baby was obviously further along than expected and thus the due date has to be wrong? If the baby is born in May and is normal, fully developed, and healthy, I can;t see how it would be mine (which would crush me emotionally). I have already bought over a 1,000 diapers, stroller, toys, clothes etc. Please help.
I KNOW a baby can be born a month early, but what doctors would PROJECT a baby to be born in Late May when the due date given is June 29th?!?!?!? She should be at week 32, not week 37. If the baby is born in late May with full health, good body weight and all, is it possible that she gave a false menstrual date to the doctor or was a month further along and didn't know it?!?!? I only slept with her once and based on the date of conception, all calculations I received plus from the doctor based on HER info to the OBGYN, the due date should be June 29th, not late May.

My ex-girlfriend is pregnant with what I believed was my son. We are no longer together and despite my wishes, she doesn't want me involved in the baby's life, doesn't want me present at the birth, and doesn't even want me on the birth certificate.

5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoChild support amount. Is any of it based on how often you see your child?
Okay I keep getting different answers on this. The way I thought it goes was child support is based on a percentage of your income. However several are telling me that since my ex-girlfriend and I have agreed that I get our son on all my days off, (3 days off after working 5 days) that I will pay less than other dads who only see their kids every other set of days off.
I never heard of this. Someone also said that a judge will take into consideration things like your mandatory bills (ie rent, utilities, car payment). Is that true? Never heard of that also. Just would like some answers.
Oh and so everyone knows, I'm not trying to get out of my responsibilities as a father and I intend to pay child support. I love my son and he isn't even born yet. I can't wait to see him and I plan to be involved 100%. So spare any and all anti-father judgments for some other post. You're looking at a dedicated first time dad, and I'm just seeking clarity on this subject.
5 AnswersParenting1 decade agoEx wants to take future son out of state. What can I do?
My ex just informed me that she plans to move to New Hampshire when our son is just 2 months old and marry a guy she was in love with while seeing me, She is currently 4 months pregnant. They basically plan to raise our child together with me having few ways to be involved. I live in Texas as does she right now. She is now saying she's not sure if she even wants me to pay child support. She refuses to tell me much about this guy except that he's a great person. She says I have no rights and have very little say in this since she's the mother. I love my son with all my heart and this is tearing me up! He's not even born yet and he will hardly know who I am and view this other guy (who hates me) as his dad.
What can I do? Can I go to court and keep her in Texas so I can be with my son? I have serious concerns about her being fit to raise my son, especially with a guy who seems to have forgiven her for cheating on him but yet hates me and upon first learning of the pregnancy, didn't want me to be apart of the child's life at all! Keep in mind she told me she was single with no guys in her life when I met her, Please help with any advice.

5 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoSmoking throughout pregnancy.?
The mother of my unborn child is having a hard time quitting smoking. Two weeks ago (15th week) she was still at a pack a day. She now has cut down to 10 cigarettes a day, but just told me that she is not going to quit due to the stress of her job on top of other things. I myself am quitting and have cut back dramatically, but I can't imagine the stress she is enduring. So what if any problems will we encounter with the baby both during pregnancy and after? We are not together so it makes matters worse somewhat.
