I currently have $7,000 out in credit card / line of credit with my Credit Union, plus I have student loans out with the government which total about $29,000. I've deferred my student loans for the time being since I'm still in college and don't have to pay on them right now. To my understanding government loans and grants are a bit different than actual credit card and collection debt, right? Anyways ... student loans aside, because I'll be paying those down for a long time (still going to school to finish my Masters so those will actually probably increase from 29k in the future).

I've planned things out and I should be able to pay off this 7k in debt in about a year. I also have a couple medical bills in collections that I didn't know about totaling about $280, so I plan to pay those off soon as possible as well. Assuming I pay that 7k + my collection debt, how much will my score go up? Right now it's at 502...it was in the 700's a couple years ago before those collections hit, and I didn't even know about them which sucks.

Do you guys think it will go back up to around 700 or so if I never miss a payment, and pay them off within a year or so? I'm paying more than the minimum payment each month too, by a lot.

Just to be clear, my car has the manifold and everything. The exhaust pipe is coming down and is broken off from the muffler at the front of the car, underneath.

It seems to run fine, just loud.I read about back pressure, but my car still has somewhat of a pipe attached...

Thinking about purchasing a Chevy Spark due to incredible gas miliage and stuff, that's my main focus. I was wondering how it would handle in Canadian mountains though, i know it has Traction control + hill assist.

My girlfriend lives in BC, and I'm moving to Washington State (Bellingham) to be near her. We plan to visit weekly and see each other as often as possible as days off from work allow us. I was wondering if crossing the border so much raises suspicion or would I ever get banned from Canada for crossing so much? How would things like this work? We don't plan to marry just yet FYI.

I shower my girlfriend with love and affection, write her letters, surprise her with flowers at work, make sure I let her know I'm here and I care. I'm just a really nice, good guy. It just seems like I get nothing in return, she is only affectionate when we have sex, or when she is in the mood for sex. I don't think she's ever once actually said "I love you" spontaneously, only if I tell her I love her first. It probably sounds stupid but I feel like I'm putting so much into this relationship, and not getting the love and affection I need. She say's its childish, but I think it's imporant - I know she cares about me and she's an awesome girl but maybe shes just not an affectionate kind of girl?

I was thinking of not telling her I love her anymore, kinda holding back some of my affection and see how she reacts, but I don't want to play mind games with her - I just feel like if I were to do that she'd claim I don't like her anymore and blah blah drama. Any help? Any advice?

I should probably mention that this is a long-distance relationship for the time being, due to work - so I think the time we do have to skype and hangout and talk should be quality, not me feeling this way.

I'm traveling from the US to Canada and was wondering if I could bring my video game console. It's actually a gift for my girlfriend who's into retro gaming. Would it just be like a laptop in that situation?

Going to Canada in 3 weeks, I need to quickly get my IDP so I can rent a car while there. I have passport and valid drivers license (no points/clean record), just forgot all about the IDP. I know I can go to my local AAA office, do they give it to me the same day after I pay them the fee and fill out all the paperwork?

Going on a vacation with my girlfriend. We've reserved the hotel, got our hockey tickets, and the major expenses out of the way. I'm wondering what I should be looking to spend daily in food, activities, etc. Also, any suggestions on what would be fun for mid-20 year old's to do in Vancouver for a week? I was guessing maybe 300 per day or so would suffice, but I'm not sure.

I had a callus on my index finger and tore it while at work. I decided to just rip off the skin so I didn't have the excess skin/bump on my finger. Now I basically have a 'hole' of missing skin layers, cleaned it, put some neosporin on it, and keep a bandaid over it. How long will it take to heal? it's kind of painful (not as bad as the callus was though).

Now I'm a big dude (275lbs) give or take, and I'm about 6'1". I've been hitting the gym and I've really been making a strong effort to lose weight. When I'm at the gym I started to jog, but it feels really awkward/embarrassed because I think people are judging me and staring at me because I'm a fat dude running on a treadmill with my man **** and fat bouncing around lol. My question is this, what do YOU think when you see something like this?

I'm not one of those people that go into the gym and lift light weights, and barely break a sweat. I go for 1.5-2 hours at a time and I really sweat and give it my all, like I said I'm really making effort. I know some people see fat people who go there and don't really make much of an effort so I figured I should point that out.

Fairly new to my manual Audi. I've been driving it for about a month or two now and I've gotten to know my car pretty well. I drive it like a granny and I'm cautious to not ride the clutch, and I don't do hard launches very much at all. All in all I take good care of the clutch. My only problem lies with Reverse. If I let out the clutch all the way my car goes WAY to fast (even with like no gas). I've been getting the car going in reverse by letting it halfway out, then I depress the clutch all the way back in to just coast, then I'll shift into 1st and get going. Is this the correct method? This way I don't really 'ride' the clutch, just enough to get the car moving.

The dentist gave me 3 or 4 shots in my mouth if I remember correctly. It's been about 2 hours since I've had them so far. I'm starving and waiting for the numbness to go away so I can eat!

I started dieting and working out, it's really hard to eat healthy when I'm out working all day. I started getting a Subway 6 inch Turkey on wheat bread with provolone cheese and just lettuce as a topping (don't like any dressings lol).

Was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark figure on how many calories, and how healthy this sub is. I was also looking at Panera Bread sandwiches for a healthy option, can anyone comment on them?

I have the entire kit for my 1999 A4, don't know anyone who can install them. I don't really have access to a garage with the right tools. Was wondering how much a shop would charge, at least a ballpark figure.

I'm a 22 year old, 300lb, 6'2" male. I went to the doctors and he said my lower blood pressure number was high as well as my cholesterol.

He suggested I take 5MG of Lisinopril daily before even mentioning diet and weight loss. I was thinking of just changing my lifestyle instead and ignore the medication unless I don't see any changes in a few months. What should I do? I'm dedicated to changing my diet and working out, but I'm wondering if I should start this medication. The side effects I've read make me nervous.

I have my old California license plate, but I live in Michigan and Michigan doesn't require a front plate. I was wondering if I could use my old California plate with expired tags for the front, as long as I have my legit Michigan plate on the back where it's supposed to be.

Can a cop give me a ticket for that?

Whenever I try to play WoW and listen to a Youtube in the background my WoW chops up and its really annoying. It's playable but when I close the Youtube video or pause it my computer will run fine.

I have an i7-920 and a 5870 video card, along with 6 gigs of RAM. Is this really too much for a top-end computer like mine to handle? Is there any fix I can do besides not watching youtube while gaming?
