  • Should I ask this girl out again at work?

I work at an office and there s a girl who works at the front desk. We make small talks here and there whenever we either bump into each other or when I drop some work at the front desk. I ve seen this girl for a couple months now but just haven t had the time to talk to her that much just because she s working with other coworkers and her supervisor, and I wanted to focus on my productivity. I recently started talking to her a bit more when she s by herself. Eventually I finally had the courage to quickly ask her if she wanted to get coffee sometime and her response was "Not really, I m just really busy." I jokingly replied "Well, at least I tried" before clocking out. I feel that I may have jumped a little too quick with not much thought. Do you think it s worth trying again and maybe give it more time? Should I try being more friendly with her? Or should I just move on?

I m not worried about it too much since this was the first time I ve tried asking a girl out while at work. I m just curious if I should maybe try again at some point since I see this girl almost everyday.

  • My friends got mad at me for asking for my money back?

So I pitched in $80 for a trip to CA with some friends 3 months prior. There are 12 of us, at least 4 couples and 4 singles. The couples put down $150 a person while the singles gave $80, this is for a house to rent. We all had a deadline to when to give the money and know if we could for sure go to the trip.

So anyways, 3 weeks later my Dad's family announced that they would have a get together with all the relatives, coincidentally at the same week during the trip.

Since my parents wanted me and my siblings to be there I couldn't say no. I tried working things out to see if I could spend time with friends at the trip and then meet with the family afterwards but before I could do anything they have already booked all of our flights without even knowing. Because of this I had to back out on the trip. I told my friends about it and asked if it was possible if I can have my money back. To my surprise 2 of them got very upset about it, telling me it wasn't fair for me to do that and that this was planned out months before even though I had no idea about the family get together. They were telling me that it's too late and that the money is gone and couldn't get it back, which I find rather stupid. Basically, I would be giving away that money for a trip that I'm not going. $80 may not sound much but I'm not the kind of guy that would just throw away money. Am I in the wrong for asking my money back? Is there a way for me to work this out? This really shouldn't be an issue...

  • I like my friend's sister, what should I do?

So I have a friend (who is a girl) that has a younger sister who I like. My friend introduced her to me at her sister's work which is a Starbucks. I've only seen her younger sister twice but I know that we both have the same interests, which is why I want to start talking to her more. I was thinking about going to her sisters work to talk to her but I don't want to come off as a creeper. I'm not trying to rush things but I do want to see if she is the right girl. Should I let my friend know how I feel about her sister? Problem is I don't see my friend that often on campus and we aren't that close, but we are good friends. I just don't want to make things awkward. What should I do?

  • Can I convince a girl to go out with me?

So there's this girl in my class whom I have a crush on since the beginning of the semester. I recently asked her if she wanted to have some coffee with me sometimes. She said yes, although she said she only wants it as a friend and isn't looking for a date. Is there any way for me to convince her to go out on a date with me? Or should I just move on?

  • I have a crush on a college classmate, what should I do?

So I happen to have a crush on a classmate in college. The class we go to is Cinema, which is pretty much a class where all we do is watch black and white movies. Thing is I only go to that class and see her there on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not only that, she sits in the same table with me, although there's another girl who sits in between us. She seems to always be the last person to come to class, although I don't think she has a boyfriend based on her FB (not to sound like a total creeper). It's already been 3 weeks and I have yet to say a single word to her and normally after class I would try and walk the same direction she's going but I get too nervous to talk to her so I let her not see me. She does look like the shy type. How should I approach her? What should I say to her? What's the best way to talk to her and get to know her better? And when's the best time to ask her out?

  • Should I work full time while I'm in college?

So I'm 21 years old and I finally got my first job as a bus assistant. The thing is, I only work part time for 20 hours a week. I want to try and save up more and I was thinking about getting another part time job. I am also going to a community college as well, although for one more semester as I might be only taking 2 classes in order to finish all my credits and get my Associate's, and then transfer over to a University. Would it be a good idea to start working 2 jobs, while going to college or should I just stick to 1 job?

  • Should I snitch on my little sister?

As an older brother who wants to make sure what's good for my little sister I was thinking about whether or not I should snitch on my little sister. She normally doesn't go to any parties or do any kinds of drugs (as far as I'm concerned) behind my parents back.

However, recently she would sometimes go over to a "friend's" house, a guy that she used to date for a few months. The guy has cheated on her before and is notorious for sleeping around with other girls. They both reconciled and are still friends, and it looks like she still has a thing for him despite everything he's done. So she hangs out with him, even though she tells me that they're both not technically 'together'. Now she secretly tells me that she lost her virginity to him, and was hoping that I wouldn't tell anyone about this.

I secretly read her text message with the guy and was surprised to see some of her texts; how she wants to have sex with him before he goes to the military. I was so angry about it because this was a guy who was known to be a 'player'. I really wouldn't have mind if this was a real boyfriend, but the fact of the matter is that he ISN'T her boyfriend, and is probably just wanting to be with her just for the sex. That's not the kind of guy I want my sister to be with. I've even confronted to her about my concern and tried reasoning with her but she seems to not want to listen.

Now, me and her are really close, to the point where we can comfortably talk about anything and keep things a secret. Should I really be concerned about this as an older brother or should I just let her do whatever she pleases? Should I let my parents know about this and risk having my sister hate me? What should I do? I

  • Let's say Pacquiao got the decision against Bradley, would you have considered that a good win?

If Pacquiao got the win over Bradley like it should have been would you have considered that a good win on his resume? People have been calling out Pac for not fighting younger, prime undefeated fighters. Then you have Pac not only beating him but outclassing him in every sense. Yeah Pac looked pretty average, save for some rounds where he looked like his former self, but he still made Bradley look like a complete amateur. That's pretty impressive, especially against a guy who is known to be very mentally strong.

    What do you think?

  • Should Manny Pacquiao just fight Mayweather while Khan fights Bradley?

There's really no point in a rematch of a fight that was thoroughly dominated by Pac in a pretty dull fight. Pac himself looked average and he still outclassed a prime undefeated fighter. He's getting older now and I think it would be better for him to get the Mayweather fight very soon before he really becomes shot to bits.

I think the best decision would be for Pac to finally ditch Top Rank, agree to fight Mayweather on his terms, and have Khan deal with Bradley (and also have 3 credible judges). You could have Khan vs. Bradley as an undercard fight for Pac vs. Mayweather. Everyone would be happy to see that. What do you think?

  • Will the blu ray of The Secret World of Arrietty contain the US and UK dub?

The Blu ray of Arrietty was just released in the US. Does anyone know if the UK dub will also be included in the disk or is it just the Disney version? I'm very interested in watching both versions.

  • How good was Sonny Liston in his prime?

After watching a documentary around Sonny Liston I wanted to know a bit more about him. Liston only seems to be known as the guy that Ali beat twice, but I think he gets really underrated as a HW champion. I have not seen much of Liston (only his fights with Roy Harris, Floyd Patterson, and Ali) but from what I've read he wasn't just a one-dimensional slugger. He was a boxer/puncher with huge power and also possessing one of the best jabs ever.

How good was a prime Sonny Liston, and how would you rate his boxing skills. What were his strengths/weaknesses, and was he past his best by the time he met up with Cassius Clay? Do you think he would have had any chance against the young Clay during his prime?

How would he have fared against guys such as:

    Joe Louis

    Joe Frazier

    George Foreman

    Larry Holmes

    Evander Holyfield

    Mike Tyson

The documentary was actually pretty sad because I felt really sorry about the way society treated Liston. Today many people respect the man, but back then nobody seemed to ever like the guy at all. He had to face racism and Ali's trash talk, and his connections to the mob and questionable fights made it all the more worse on him. This was a man who never got the respect he deserved and is shrouded with mystique, such as his birth date and death.

  • Does anyone think that Donald Curry should be in the Hall of Fame?

Anyone else think that Don Curry should be put into the IBHOF? I think it's way long overdue. One of my favorite fighters and also the finest technician I've seen next to Ricardo Lopez. He was considered at a time as one of the very best boxers alongside Marvin Hagler, before his unexpected upset to Honeyghan. I really don't think his downfall should hold him back from being inducted to be honest. His peak was short, yes, but he also beat some very good fighters along the way and became undisputed.

Really hope he gets voted in for 2012. What do you think?

  • Is it possible for a boxer to be as fast as Meldrick Taylor and also as powerful as Julian Jackson?

Do you think it's possible for a person to be able to have fast hands like Meldrick Taylor, while at the same time have punching power as hard as Julian Jackson? There have been many boxers that have dazzling speed combined with tremendous power such as Sugar Ray Robinson, Thomas Hearns, Roy Jones, Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, and Yuriorkis Gamboa. But let's imagine a boxer with handspeed like Taylor who is capable of putting 8 punch combos in just a blink of an eye , combined with the power of Jackson who can put a fighter to sleep. Is this remotely possible?

  • How good was Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson?

How good was he in his prime at Flyweight?

From what I've seen and heard about him, he was a very underrated fighter who was slick but can also punch, but was mostly known for his fights against Rafael Marquez while past it. I've been dying to see some of his fights in his prime but the only one I can find was his first round KO of Arthur Johnson (masterful performance). Does anyone know where I can see some of his fights other than the ones that are on YouTube? Most of those are fights when he's past his prime.

His fighting style is very unique to watch.

  • Who was the more skilled boxer: Donald Curry or Ricardo Lopez?

In your opinion, who do you think was the more skilled boxer? Both were brilliant textbook boxers who were great counterpunchers and had power in both hands.

Curry's prime was way too short though, but at his best he was phenominal and was incredibly skilled. Lopez gets underrated these days but he is widely regarded as one of the most skilled boxers in recent times.

  • Where would Pacquiao be ranked if he wins against Mayweather and Martinez?

If/when he does finally get the chance to fight them. Does a win over the two immediately make him ATG status and where would he be placed in history? Would he still need to keep fighting the likes of Bradley, Khan, Alvarez, or to an extent Andre Ward, to achieve that status?

  • Can cracking my knuckles make my hands weaker?

I know it can cause arthritis but I recently stopped my bad habits of cracking my knuckles (been doing that since 1st grade). I noticed how much weaker my hands are compared to my other friends whom I work out with. Can cracking my knuckles cause my hands or bones to be weaker? Do I lose more grip strength or punching power?

And if that's the case am I able to make my hands stronger?

  • Bernard Hopkins vs Sumbu Kalambay?

Who do you think would win in this match up?

Kalambay is an underrated fighter who has held victories over quality fighters such as Graham, Barkley, Sims, and even a prime Mike McCallum.

Hopkins, as we all know, is a soon to be ATG MW. However, a fight against a guy who outclassed a master boxer like McCallum would be a difficult task.

  • If they can show the death of Saddam Hussein, why can't they show pictures of Osama bin Laden's body?

Wouldn't that just silence the skeptics? Isn't it weird that they can show a video of Hussein's hanging yet they won't release a photo of OBL corpse? I don't buy the excuse that Obama's making. Not that I doubt that Laden's dead but at least back up your statement with some evidence instead of just saying "yes we killed him, but we're not gonna release the photos." It's only gonna lead people to question him more.
