  • Can I put 1666mhz FSB DDR3 RAM chip into MSI X58 Platinum?

    I have an MSI X58 Platinum motherboard and was wondering if ( since the specs only say DDR3 800/1066/1333 and Corsair recommended this memory for that motherboard) will it automatically slow the speed if I run 1666MHz FSB DDR3 RAM to 1333MHz or will I have to manually change settings in BIOS or will it make my machine blow up?

  • I am trying to build a relatively inexpensive Gaming PC I was wondering people's opinion on Hardware?

    I currently have a Dell Dimension 4550 which was a great and fast computer when I bought it in 2000 and have upgraded it to its limits (basically) I need to buy a new motherboard and have been looking at Nvidia SLI and AMD's crossfire ready Motherboards just looking for input? I will want 2 Graphics cards in the future and DDR3 ram capabilities you know new stuff (upgradeable) I will be building an entirely new system, I currently have a Ultra Aluminus Case already purchased (fits all size motherboards)
