I m running for the position of head girl in my school, and I was planning to take some time to go around teachers asking what they want in a head girl and try to rally support. I need suggestions on what I could ask and how to persuade them that I am the one they should vote for, so I really appreciate any advice you have.

It's for a story I'm writing, but I don't know much about US currency.

It s for my media class, I m doing a montage. Setting is two girls are becoming close friends, but are also behaving really badly and stuff, stealing from shops, drinking underage, etc. I m looking for something relatively old, not modern pop or anything. My mum's dating this big-shot BP guy. He comes to stay every few weekends. He's a pleasant enough guy. I can cope with his company in small doses, even though I have fundamental disagreements with his work and for his love of barbecue and meat. I'm a vegetarian and I hate listening to everyone drone on about how exquisite he's cooked the flesh of a once living and breathing creature, but whatever. He makes my mum happy, so whatever. Issue is, he has misjudged his role. Badly. We went on holiday recently (I refrained from telling my mother how badly I didn't want this to happen because it would make her sad then it would make the whole family sad) and he told me to watch my language. I admit, I shouldn't have said what I said. I was really sick and out of character, but my mum would've said something. It is not his role to tell me to watch my language. My apologies for sounding like a melodramatic teenager, but please understand I am mature for my age. People, my parents included, treat me like an adult. I was hurt and offended to find that he didn't have the respect for me that I thought he did; that of a well-acquainted dinner part guest. I do not need another parental figure. Now I find out he has been patrolling my activity online. He has really over-stepped the line and I am more than a little annoyed, but I'm concerned if I confront him I'll shatter any chance of a relationship with courtesy and respect. That happens I have really messed things up for mum. What do I do?

I can't use African american, as the person I am attempting to describe is from Scotland. I can't really use black either, the circumstances are too official for that kind of reference.
