I picked up a fishing rod at a flea market today for $5. It looks like it says O.L. CURTIS CUSTOM RODS. The rod is in great condition except where it says the name, it looks like wood made. It is a two piece and feels to be a light action. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I ask the regulars becasue I trust them more than anybody on the fishing forums... They make it seem so amazing but is it really? Is it worth the $40 per year?

Ok is it just me or does it seem like when I take my line to get spooled at a local bait shop they have the machine and it seems that they are able to hold more line on them when the machine does it compared to doing it yourself. Is it just me or what?

I got a Fish Eagle 50 Medium Heavy off of them in Feburary, well I would like a Heavy so I could fish for the big ole musky and catfish. I have only used it once for about half of a hour and and it is still in perfect condition, I also got a reel from them that cost about $80 used for only half of a hour on that rod. I would like to return both to get a bit of a heavier set up. Think they would do that for a 16 year old kid? I still have the recipt if that is important.

Ok, so this girl I like (I have liked her forever it seems like and she knows it) well she didnt want a boyfriend until the school year was over, well it is over and I asked if she had a boyfriend, she said she did, they were dating for about 3 days when I asked this. Well earlier in the school year when I asked her out she said summer would be better and she has the same feelings for me. I was think about getting the 7 foot one piece medium action... I know it is the lower end of the Croix's but is it still a good over all rod?

I was thinking about getting a dozen, have any of you ever used them? And what is your opinion on them?

One that has the rod blank at the end. I normally dont buy rods from walmart but I was looking at them and they had some pretty good one's there. Not lil cheepies either trust me they cost as much as a St. Croix Primer. But they have the rod blank at the handle and I dont really like the look of that. I like the all cork handle. What is your opinion on it? Pros and Cons? This is the style of handle I am talking about
