I need HELP! Movie buffs unite!

You know those things that get stuck in your head and it drives you up the wall until you figure it out? I have been struggling with this for a LONG time!

There was a movie from my childhood, that I watched quite a bit except I cannot remember the actors or the title. It was a variation of Jack and the Beanstalk, I know that much, and could have one of the following

actors (I think); John C. Reily, Jim Belushi. Or someone that looks like them, as a green giant. The giant had a family, and I little blonde girl with braids, sort of a mix of Cindy from The Brady Bunch and Shrek. The scene that sticks out the most is Jack (dunno which actor) makes a fake human out of clay or something and the giant eats it, and spits it out. I just remember those small bits, and it is driving...me...crazy. ANYONE know which movie I'm talking about?!
