  • Career path for the U.S. Army?

I was wondering if I can follow this career path states below, and if I can, is it wise and benificial?

Enlist in the U.S. Army with option 40, a Ranger contract. Do BCT, Airborne, RASP, serve in Ranger Regiment for a few years, (I know I have to go to ranger school eventually), then go to OCS

and become an officer. I've wanted to be an officer in the Army for a while. Once again, can this path be followed, and if so, is it a good career path in the Army? And should I go to college before rangers, or after rangers , then go to OCS?

  • Infantry officer, hopefully Rangers?

I would like to know the exact steps I need to take to become an airborne infantry officer or in 101 airborne, air assault. It seems impossible to be an officer in the rangers, so I would like to go 82 or 101. I know you have to go to the specialized schools, but how do you get assigned to these units, because there are a shitload of airborne qualified soldiers, but not many airborne infantrymen.

  • Options for army infantry officer?

I would like to be a more elite infantryman than the average one, and have better training. I hear it is very difficult to be a ranger as an officer, so I am wondering if the 82nd airborne or the 101st would give me slightly better training. I assume so, and they must be tougher troops, because they go through airborne school for 82nd, and air assault for 101st.

  • How competetive are army four - year ROTC scholarships? And do you think I would be qualified?

I've got a 3.6 gpa, with mostly honors and 3 AP classes. Got 1950 on SAT. Lettered in baseball. Just to let everyone know, I would probably join ROTC as a college programmer if I don't get the scholarship, because I am not applying just for the tuition benefits. I want to be an officer in the military, the tuition is just a bonus to me.

  • Problem with xbox live connection?

I sign in, then just randomly says I'm disconnected, but when I test my connection, it says I am fine, from xbox to Internet. It won't let me apply the update.

  • Do I have a decent chance and being accepted to Penn State?

i have a 3.6 gpa out of 4.0, my weighted gpa is 4.3, and im a sophomore in high school. i am taking one AP this year, and probably 2 but maybe 3 AP's next year. Tell me if I am on the right track, if not, by all means say so, go ahead and say something. i only do 1 extracurricular activity. (baseball) Assuming i do decent on the SAT ( i got a 200 out of 240 on PSAT, equivalent to a 2000 on the SAT), what are my chances? thanks.

  • Are there any tips for improving my PFT scores?

I'm applying for NROTC Marine Option, and if i don't get it, i will either try become a college programmer or apply for the PLC program. I can only do about 11 to 13 pull ups, my crunches are solid (perfect score) and my 3 mile run is pretty good (18:30, a perfect score would be 18:00). I guess I'm at a slight disadvantage, as I am kind of short (5 foot 8 inches). Any suggestions for improvement? Especially at the pull ups?

  • People have said i don;t have much of a shot at the Naval Academy. Would NROTC be a better option?

I'm a sophomore and i have a 3.71 GPA. I do one extra curricular and i am adding others, and im still working on my service hours (i only have 40). I would go for Marine Option. i would be willing to go as college programmer if i do not get the NROTC scholarship.

  • What do you think of my chances at the Naval Academy?

I am currently a sophomore in high school, and i have a 3.71 gpa, but my weighted is around 4.2. I only do one extra-curricular activity, and i have like 40 service hours. I have a good chance of being captain of the j.v. baseball team this year, and assuming i get the recommendation, are my chances pretty good? If you don't think so, just say so, I'm not going to argue, I'll just try to improve.
