When Bush took office, there was only half of that number unemployed but that figure more than doubled during his administration. When Obama took office, over 12.1 mil were unemployed and in four years, during a much more unstable economy, less than a mil more are listed as on the hunt for jobs. Clearly Obama has guided us in a better direction than Bush. Why should we now trust Romney to be a better choice when his track record consists of supporting outsourcing good manufacturing jobs while Obama wants to give incentives to companies that create more jobs right here at home ?

I believe in God for the record please hold back the personal attacks, if you please. Just let God and let go of judgment on our fellow humans. Some issues are not political, they are simply human ones. Morality cannot be legislated, its a personal choice.

Would that be a show of strength ? A non violent show of support for their cause ? It sure would help out the US Post Office, they are completely funded by stamps and postal fees.

We pay our elected officials to pass legislation, make changes that promote the economy and protect the country, not to stall and argue. When the bills are tied to idealistic goals or special interest issues that probably would not fly on their own, it always slows down the vote to either pass or deny. This loss of production neither solves problems nor represents the country. Perhaps instead of paying them a salary, politicians should get a commission based on productivity. Maybe they would try to cooperate like adults instead of looking for political partisan victories like bitter rival sports teams. We don`t need competition from our representatives, we need cooperation.

Do they think that this would not fly on its own and need to attach it as a condition to another agreement as the only way to leverage their position? Single issue, clean amendments are the way to eliminate this bait and switch game of voting for emotions and special interests instead of the "muddy the waters" approach so popular today.

Wouldn`t this eliminate the type of senseless political wars that obstruct the process today ? I think that this would cut out bargaining for deals on one matter that are unrelated to others and simplify the system. Just focus on one point, vote it up or down, and then deal with another. Using a political ideal as a stubborn stance to hamstring the discussion process is just a stalling and diversion tactic to sway opinion away from the primary subject. One that both parties use, some just exponentially more than others. Fill in your own blanks.

Former Gov Huckabee is representing a recall for the healthcare bill. I respect their right to protest but I believe that encouraging people to vote twice just to raise the numbers artificially is wrong, isn`t that like voter fraud ? Akin to registering dead people ?

Mission Accomplished ! I realize that this not news, just another campaign promise that Obama was able to fulfill. I know that there were alot that he did not keep, but no president has been able to accomplish that perfect game yet.

Will they always use the same tactic when anyone even mentions tax cuts ? Why are they willing to crash the country to protect the tax rate from returning to pre Bush years. Under the Clinton administration the tax rate on the upper most tax payers as only 3.9% higher and we had 20 mil jobs created,and the highest surplus in decades. As well as a projection by the CBO of surpluses for the next ten years. Then came Bush....

The union workers are willing to take additional cuts in pay, and contribute more to their pensions, to negotiate but the 5 week tea party Governor wants to set back the rights of labor to collectively bargain, that means compromise, but as usual this word fall on deaf ears when dealing with Republicans. They see any type of compromise as an assault on them. a surrender and a loss of face to even use the word, "Compromise" We are a nation of many differing people, and we have to make decisions that represent everyone, not just the ones trying to hoard this country` wealth.

Do women of either party think that these two have anything positive to offer that would warrant a choice like this ?
