  • Onkyo surround vs Pioneer surround?

    Hi all,

    thanks for looking first of all :)

    I'm a bit confused about buying a surround systems to which I will hook my PS3 & PC via Optical and/or HDMI as well as to the Optical Out on my TV (for the tuner sound)

    Don't know whether to get the Pioneer BCS-212 for Eur400

    or the Onkyo HT-S3405 for Eur360

    What about sound quality? Loudness? Connectivity? etc

    I didn't manage to figure out the watts(rms) to ohms thing link neither

    Blu-Ray player isn't a pro or con since I've got the PS3 :)

  • No name resolution after adding and removing VPN?

    Windows Home Server (based on Server 03) at home

    Added VPN just for testing then removed it a few minutes after, now there is no name resolution from other PCs.

    If I try \\ServerName\ share does NOT work, nor does pinging the server name

    If I try \\192.168.1.x\ share DOES work and even pings IP

    I don't have any AD or DNS servers. There is only File and Printer sharing since it's a home network.

    Firewall Disabled, tried changing computer name, flushed DNS records but to no avail

    Now I cannot access any of the shares through server name, so I've got to change everything on all PCs.

    Any ideas how to get things to normal pleaseee? :)

  • Raid 1 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 not booting?

    I have win7 x64 ultimate on a pc. After converting disk 0 (the boot disk) to Dynamic and enabling mirroring to another drive (drive 1 which I also converted to dynamic) and rebooted the pc would not load.

    The partitions are still there but I cannot boot from disk 0

    Any suggestions? Cos I'd rather avoid formatting the pc
