I have been with a guy for almost 4 years now. We started in high school and now weʻve gone through a really rough time. He wanted to put us "on hold" for a while to focus on himself and said he didnʻt want to be with anyone right now but that heʻd come back for me. But when I caved in and called him he said heʻs still my boyfriend. I was so confused and so depressed my father wanted to get involved. So my boyfriend and I had argued and he was yelling at me and talking down to me in front of my dad, which led to my father getting into an altercation with him. My dad went out of control but it ended with my boyfriend bruised and scratched up and saying that "Iʻm never going to bother your daughter again" to my dad. I tried to chase after him, but my family pulled me away and he drove off. Heʻs had the worst temper for a while now, and oftentimes he leads me to think the way he does, but donʻt get me wrong, he has done some amazing things for me here and there. I just... donʻt know what to do. I want to call and say sorry, but I know now I canʻt go back to him after what happened with my family. How do I cope with all of this.. Please help me.

If you're willing to take the time to read all of this, I just want to say thank you in advance. Haha! Well me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost 3 years. It started out in high school, I was a sophomore and he was a senior. Everyone speculated and questioned what a senior would have with a sophomore, but it worked out... I was actually his first girlfriend and he didn't have much luck with women. My parents always planned "bigger and better things" for my life and hated the fact that I had been tied down. So they always tried (maybe not purposely) to make things difficult for he and I. ie. Make me too busy to spent time with him, make me question his motives, try almost anything to make me move on, but it didn't work. He was always the clingy type of person which was a turnoff for me initially. Then my Jr year, he went off to college and he would always be too busy for me. He even said I'm not his main priority at that time. Things went completely downhill. But, the next year he came back home. This was my senior year, and I was living it out to the fullest. Initially in the beginning, I wanted to spend all my time with him, and he would tell me to go and do other things and he pushed me away... So I started getting involved with school things such as the spring production where I managed to land a lead role. This, got me closer to my costar and things were started to build between us. But I'd have my shows and my boyfriend would constantly come to each one and beg me to spend time with him... which really sucked because he pushed me away and was trying to bring me back again. And as you can tell my parents loved the fact that I was moving on, so they encouraged it.

Eventually things didn't work out and I felt bad that I was considering moving on after almost 2 years with someone.... So I tried to make things work. I confessed to him and I was really surprised that he didn't resent me for what had happened... After that, there was a perfect balance, I lived out my senior year, he did what he needed to do and we were there when we needed each other. Now, I'm graduated and things have been slow.... I find more time for myself and it's weird not having to constantly be working. The beginning of this "slow/free time" that I had, he loved and we spent lots of time together. Which made me think that things were going great! But then he got involved with an extra-curricular sport and it's like he's in college all over again.. He doesn't like to call, he says he's too busy yet he finds time to do other unimportant things like Facebook, he says he misses me but never plans to hang out. It just sucks. I want to support him at his races (he says he wishes I could BE THERE with him) but my parents don't support me and won't let me go. So I don't know what to do. In a couple of weeks I'll be moving out and dorming at a college nearby. Will that make things easier? Before he always wanted to hang out, but my parents always found a way/reason to not let me to the point where he hardly asks now. Do you think he's moved on? Or does he just need some space? And will living on my own help us salvage our relationship? Please and thanks so much for your help!

He tells me he loves me, and yet he then tells his buds about all the hot chicks that he wants. He says im his only motivation to come back here. I feel like I cant trust him, but he's always questioning me saying, "You can trust me..."

Im tired of waiting on him, because what if he's just playing me?

Me and my ex-boyfriend broke up about 3 1/2 weeks ago. I see him around school, and we DONT talk anymore. We occassionally pass by and smile and say hi, but thats about it.

He was kinda like my first REAL boyfriend. Should I build up our friendship first? Or should I just ask him again...?

Do you think he'd still like me? He said I was the first girl he actually "kissed". I'm trying to talk to him in texts now. Thanksgiving break is coming up and I cant wait.... Help?

we talk everynight, and we BOTH know that we have strong feelings for eachother. But I just want to hear the actual words "I like you" come from him. He's far away from where I am. He tells me things like, "Your my only motivation to come back." & "I wouldnt mind seeing you again." He tells me a lot of secrets and he sang to me on the phone one night. We keep giving eachother hints but well I gotta confess, I didnt actually say it either. but, I wanna hear him say it first!

okay, so the guy I like went to my school and over the fall break, I was building up the courage to tell him how I feel. When we come back to school, I find out that he no longer goes to my school! I start feeling really bummed and everything (He was a boarder at our school.) A few weeks later I find out that my friend knows his number so I call him. We start talking a lot and he doesnt straight up tell me he likes me, but he gives out really obvious hints.

Well, okay the problem is hes far away, but hes trying to convince his parents to let him come back in one or two years. So we only talk on the phone, since thats the only way we can, and i have a hard time being comfortable around him!

I dont want to lose him just yet and what kinds of things should we talk about? OH! and should I tell him I like him now ?

I have to do a Social Studies Report on the differences between China and America. I am saying that America is a better country (not discriminating china!) but im debating.
