My friend has a Vista Home Premium OS. He was looking for an easier software than Windows Media Center to play his DVDs. I've always liked VLC and tried to install it using version 1.1.9 . But when I tried to install it, I got an error message that told me the install package was not the correct Win32 application package. What gives? I checked the Computer Properties and he does have the 32 bit version of Vista. Am I looking for the wrong place or is there something wrong with his computer?

I recently upgraded from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium. Currently, the screen resolution will only go to 800x600. When I had the Starter version, I had the ability to have 1024x600, but not anymore. Could you point me in the direction of the website that has the needed codec? I'd greatly appreciate it. Microsoft forums aren't helping.

Several weeks ago, I was attempting to turn in a person who has been running from the police. He will serve a 5 to 8 year term for murder. This guy already knows what he's being charged for, but he's on the run.

Well, there had already been one. The police had been called twice on a Friday night and twice again the following morning. No show.

My question is: is there any reason or rule that a police officer or station would not investigate on the name and address of a person who is said to be running from the law?

This is simply the added detail. He is pretty sure that the girl is being told what to do by her mom and her friends don't like him at all. He is expecting an answer in about two weeks. How will he know whether the answer is coming from the girl and not her mom?
