Can't figure this one out for the life of me.... it's prolly really easy too :/ HELP!!

If anyone can answer any and all of these I'd be eternally grateful... I have no idea if I'm doing these right... PLEASE SHOW WORK :) if you know the equations too... so i can make sure im using the right ones!

1. What is the gravitational field strength if a force of 1.5N acts on a mass of 10g?

2. Find the heat necessary to change 2.00kg of water at 90.0degrees C to steam at 100degrees C. Heat of vaporization is 539 cal/g.

3. an aluminum meter stick is exactly 1m long at exactly 0degress C. What is it's length at exactly 30degrees C? ["omega symbol"] for aluminum = 2.3 x 10^-5/degrees Celcius

4. find the amount of work done by a balloon if it absorbs 3.20 cal of heat and yet gains only .700 cal of internal energy. State the work in joules.

5. if 17,000 J of heat is added to a system initially at 10degrees C, what is the change in entropy?

6. What is the wavelength of waves having a frequency of 215 Hz and a speed of 27 m/s?

7. What is the period of a wave if its frequency is 25.5 Hz?

8. A concave mirror has a focal length of 30cm. An object is placed 15cm from the mirror. What are (a) the radius of the mirror, (b) the image distance, and (c) the lateral magnification? (d) Describe the image.

9. what is the frequency of a photon with an energy of 8.9 x 10^17 J?

So I have a laptop that's not even a year old (I bought it last year at the end of August) and it works fine except for one thing. Sometimes, I'll be on it and then, all of a sudden, it'll just turn off. It doesn't even "shut down" or power down; the screen just goes black and all of the "power lights" indicating that it's on turn off. Then when I go to turn it back on again it says that "Windows was improperly shut down" (or something like that).

Now I know sometimes my computer will run updates but even then it closes everything first, does the updates, then restarts and restores what I was doing. So it's not like it's updating itself.

I do use my laptop on me bed most of the time. I just sit in bed and prop it up on my knees. Could the slanted position of it resting on my knees be a cause? Also, I've thought that maybe it's just overheating because sometimes it'll shut off after I've been on it awhile and the bottom of it is pretty hot. But then sometimes, like a 10 minutes ago, it just shuts off and the laptop is barely even warm. Could it be the lack of ventilation from all the blankets and stuff on my bed? Ugh, it's just super frustrating.

My laptop is a Gateway and it says "T-Series". I don't know much about this sort of thing so I don't know if that information helps at all.

Anyways, I just want it to stop spontaneously shutting off.

Any thoughts?

Ok, so the story is building towards the end and I'm waiting for this big epic occurrence. But all that happened was the John Doe got Mills to commit the last sin: wrath. Ok, so what? I don't see how this will "impact the whole nation" or be something that "will be studied for ages" like Doe says it will. How does Doe become a Messiah figure Can someone explain this to me?
