Can anyone solve this trig problem?
Here is the problem: A spot light will be placed in a theater so that a specific part of the stage will be lit. The vertical distance for the spot light is H=19m above the stage. The front of the lit spot on the floor should have a horizontal distance of F=12m from the light, and the length of the lit spot on the floor should be S=11m.
The light from the spot light forms a cone whose full angle in radians is α. The light will be tilted an angle of β radians, and the angle β is measured to the center of the cone of light. Determine the value of α and β that will be necessary to light the spot indicated above.

1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoCollege precalculus question?
A mass is attached to a spring on a horizontal bench, and it oscillates. The spring has a spring constant, k Nm, and the mass has mass m kg. The cost to purchase a spring is 8k$, and the cost to purchase a mass is 6m$. The position of the mass is given by:
x(t) = sin(sqrt[k/m]t +b)
1. What is the expression to calculate the total cost of the configuration in terms of k and m ? (Only consider the costs associated with purchasing the mass and the spring.)
2. The completed configuration should cost a total of 36 dollars and the oscillations should have a period of
1/19 seconds. What are the values of k and m that will meet these design objectives?
I have no clue how to do this, can anyone please help show me how?
2 AnswersMathematics4 years agoDetermine the set values of x?
Determine the set of values of
x where the function
y = sin(x)
is increasing where −2π < x < 2π. Do not include the endpoints of the intervals, and all intervals should be open intervals on all endpoints.
Enter your answer using interval notation.

1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoFind the values of the six trigonometric functions for the angle θ?
Find the values for all six trig functions. Im confused because the picture given is just a triangle with the opposite side labeled as B and the hypotenuse labeled as C with no label on the Adjacent side. I tried plugging in A and it didnt work.
If sin theta= b/c and csc= c/b, what are the rest?
1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoHow do I find long term density (precalculus)?
The problem is: The population density of voles in a park is approximated by the function:
P= (1400e^(8t)) / 1 + 7e^(8t)
where t is the time in days. Determine the long term population density. (What number does the population density approach after a very long time?)
Hint: divide the top and bottom of the fraction by the term that grows the fastest in time.
I have no idea how to do this, can anyone please help explain it?
1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoHow do I solve this exponential interest problem?
I cant seem to get the right answer, as it has to be in symbolic form. The problem is:
Alice makes an initial investment on July 1, 2000 into a bank account on that compounds continuously at an unknown rate.
On July 1, 2005, the balance was $230.00. On July 1, 2014, the balance was $440.00. Answer the following.
A) What is the interest rate?
B)Determine the initial investment to the nearest cent
Any explanation would be great, thanks!
2 AnswersMathematics4 years agoHow to solve exponential growth equations?
Here is my problem: A bacteria population begins with 540 bacteria present and grows exponentially. Each bacterium divides into 2 organisms every 55 minutes.
(a) Find the size of the population after 2 hours. Enter an exact answer or round to the nearest whole number.
I used n=540e^2(2.1818) and got 42411 bacteria, but that was not correct. How do I solve this?
