  • Being blackmailed from “girl” of Kik. Help?

Before I begin, I know how stupid of a mistake this was and nobody can make me feel any worse about it than I already do so please don’t insult.

Recently I’ve been sexting different people over kik and everything was fine. Until I started sexting with this one girl. We were sending pictures and she said she wanted to FaceTime, so I stupidly told her my real name. She found me on Facebook, took screenshots of my friends list and threatened to send my nude photos to them if I didn’t pay her $300 via wire transfer to the Philippines. I agreed to wire the money at 11:30 USA central time just to buy myself some time. I read about scams similar to this from many other people. I took others advice and deactivated my kik account, revamped my privacy settings on Facebook and then temporarily deactivated it. I changed my username on other forms of social media so that she can’t find me there. I also blocked her phone number. So my main question is, how often do these blackmailers actually go through with these threats? And the wire transfer was supposed to take place 9 hours ago and as far as I can tell, no pictures have been sent to my Facebook friends. How soon would they send these pictures if they were going to do so?

  • Tips for exercising in the morning?

I’m running an obstacle course in the morning, I got a really solid score during my practice run but I ran it in the afternoon and this real one is pretty early in the morning. My problem is I usually don’t exercise well in the morning because I usually have a queasy stomach. What are some ways to avoid this? It seems like it might be because I might be dehydrated in the mornings so I’m going to begin hydrating tonight. I’m also probably going to shower when I wake up and I think that’ll help. Any suggestions?

  • Finish my degree before or after the academy?

I'm going into a career in law enforcement. For my department, you must have 60 college credit hours to be hired. However, we have a cadet program that I have been involved in for 3 years. With 3 years of our cadet program, the credits requirement is cut to 30. None of this is an issue for me anyway, I turn 20 in a week and will have my Associate's degree at Christmas. My original plan was to finish my bachelor's degree all at once before I entered the academy. I do want a bachelor's degree. At my department you have to have one to be promoted to detective. Also, if I ever want to go federal at some point I'll need it. Here's the "dilemma" I face. If I get my degree before the academy, I won't enter the academy until 2021 ish. Or I can enter the academy next July with 77 credit hours (I'm going to school in the spring no matter what). What makes it interesting is my department has a tuition reimbursement program to get part of my school paid for. So do I finish school now or work/finish my bachelor's?

  • How to convince my parents to let me go on vacation with my girlfriend?

I'm 19 years old and attending college. My gf is also 19 and attending college. We've been talking about a trip to Florida (the place we picked is about 13 hour drive) the week after finals. The problem is, we both still live with our parents. She's already convinced hers to let her go, but I don't know if I can convince mine. They are pretty strict (only one out of my group of friends with a curfew). We would be going with 2 other couples, everybody is 18+ with one of them being 21. I really want to go because if I don't, my girlfriend will be the only one there without her boyfriend. I want to respect my parents with this, I know that since I'm living at home still they could make my life miserable before/after the trip so I want to handle this delicately. On one hand, I'll be nearly 20 (19 years, 8 months) when this trip takes place. But, it would be better for everyone if my parents let me go willingly. I already know what some of their main concerns will be. One, safety. We'd be 13 hours away. However, I'm going with 5 other adults so I feel like this shouldn't be a huge issue. Two, they'd be afraid of me having unlimited sex and getting my girlfriend pregnant. I don't know how to convince them to let me stay at a beach house with my gf and I sharing a room. I thought about telling them that my gf's parents were going, but I know that'll backfire. So any advice I can get from parents or people that have convinced strict parents to do something similar would be amazing.

  • Can Anyone Tell Me About the Air Force Reserve Special Forces?

I'm considering joining the AF Reserve in the security forces and also becoming a civilian cop. My main questions are:

    1) Is there a sign on bonus?

    2) If I enter with an Associate's degree, am I automatically a higher rank?

    3) How much hand to hand combat is taught to special forces?

    4) On an eight year enlistment, how many times can I reasonably expect to be deployed? Once or twice? More?

    5) What kind of places are we deployed too? How long on average?

  • Boxing advice?

Starting in a couple weeks I'll be weight training Monday-Friday mornings for 45 minutes each session. Then I was going to use the heavy bag in my room in the afternoon for my cardio. I'd be doing this for about 4 months. After Christmas I was planning on going to an actual boxing gym in the afternoons while still lifting weights in the mornings. I only have about an hour a day that I could spend at the boxing gym, but it'd be 5-6 times per week. Is this enough to see an improvement in my skill/fitness level? Also, the local boxing gym cost $100 a month, is that expensive? I get personal training for part of the time so I feel that it'd be worth it.

    Recap:

    August-December

45 minutes of weight training Monday-Friday

Heavy bag (increasing in length to get conditioned for the boxing gym)

    January-

45 minutes of weight training Monday-Friday

    1 hour of boxing gym

  • How quickly could I learn Krav Maga?

I'm a 17 year old police recruit so I have a solid array of moves, but I want to at least master the BASICS of Krav Maga. I pick up things quickly. I'm an above average athlete and in good (but not great) shape. I'm 5'10" and weigh 175. I would be attending 2 classes per week

  • Am I a Sociopath? If not, then what?

I realize that Yahoo Answers isn't the best place for a diagnosis, but I'm 17 years old so I can't exactly afford a professional. I'm going to try to make this as short and to the point as possible.

    Background:

    - my grandmother (my father's mother) was institutionalized for schizophrenia while my dad was growing up

    - my father suffers from extreme paranoia and anti-social disorder

    - both are intelligent especially my grandma

    Personal Symptoms/Traits:

    - charming

    - intelligent

    - if a situation isn't going as planned, I manipulate it

    - I will lie and feel somewhat bad about it (but not always)

    - I sympathize extremely well with people (I realize this isn't sociopathic)

    - I hardly ever cry, but I do feel emotions I just don't show them to anyone

    - charismatic

    - sometimes I have shallow emotions, sometimes I have deep emotions

ex. my dad almost never being there for me in general would upset most people, but I honestly couldn't care less

    - I feel love

    - Law-abiding

So maybe I'm blessed with the advantages of being a sociopath like charms, intelligence, and situation manipulation and don't have many of the disadvantages like no sympathy or love, no conscience. But what do you guys think? Am I lucky? Am I not?

  • Police Recruit Fitness?

I'm a 16 year old police recruit and I'm heading into my second week of training. We PT on Tuesday/Thursday, but they said we should work out at home as well. So I've been doing 50 pushups and a minute and a half of planks per day (except Tuesday and Thursday). Will this make me stronger?

  • Please Help!?!?!?!!?

I recently bought a heavy bag/speed bag set. My main purpose is to tone what muscle I have. I'm 5'10" tall and weight 170 pounds. Based on the workout I found below, how long would it take to see significant results? 3 months? 6 months? a year? I will be doing the workout once a day.

    The premise of this workout is to work through 5-10, 2 minute rounds at maximum intensity as below;

    • Within each round throw a mixture of different combinations

    • In each round aim to concentrate on different combinations of jab, cross, hook and uppercut (see below)

    • The rep sequence is 20 seconds of full intensity work, followed by 10 seconds of rest where you step back from the bag (though keep mobile by using your footwork to circulate the bag)

    • Carry out 4 sets of this (e.g. 20 seconds in, 10 seconds out for total of 2 minutes)

    • Take a rest for between 60-120 seconds and then repeat

  • HELP!?!?!?

I put together this routine to get me toned. I'm 16, 5'10", and weigh 170 pounds.

    Curls:

    12 reps of 55 pounds

    10 reps of 65 pounds

    8 reps of 75 pounds

    6 reps of 85 pounds

    Cleans:

    10 reps of 65 pounds

    8 reps of 75 pounds

    6 reps pf 85 pounds

    Bench:

    14 reps of 55 pounds

    12 reps of 65 pounds

    10 reps of 75 pounds

    8 reps of 85 pounds

Then I'm going to do about 50 sit-ups at the end.

Oh and I plan on doing this twice per day. If I stick with twice per day, how soon could I expect to see results?

  • What Do You Think I Should Weigh?

I'm 16 and want to be a police officer when I'm older, and I start training for my town's Police Cadet Program in August. I think I'm close to being done growing at 5'10" and I have a medium frame, so how much should I weigh if I want to be a toned 5'10" male? I was thinking a toned 185 to maximize both strength and speed. Is that about right? Oh and If I grow more, I would add probably 5 pounds per inch.
