My girlfriend and I just turned 20 and we're expecting a baby in 7 months. Right now she lives with me at my parents and we both go to school. She works, I don't. My dad is self employed so I just help him out. He doesn't pay me but he gives me money when I need it. My parents are being very supportive and their willing to let us stay here for free as long we stay in school, which is very nice of them. But I feel like it is my duty to provide for my kid and my girlfriend and to become independent and to get our own place. In order to do that I would have to take some semesters off and work a full time job to save up money but I don't want to give up my education. I don't know what to do. This decision has the potential to either make me or break me. I need some advice.
