  • Netball Question from a new GK player?

I have been playing netball for three weeks (I am fifteen,I know,a little late to start playing compared to normal) and I am learning the rules as I play. I play for a social team and we practice twice a week and have a 40 minute game versing other social teams aswel, once a week. Everyone, including randoms on the sidelines say that I am a really good player with a lot of talent and I just need more experience and knowledge of the game. Last week the mid court of our team played terribly and me on one side of the court and our GS on the other, were doing a lot of work and felt like we need to step up our team (funny coming from a newbie). I got three intercepts in a row after mid court kept loosing the balls that I worked hard to get, aswel as numerous other times. The week before we caned the same team... anyway back to the point :P obveously I have to take the pass if it is turned over in my third, but theres one rule I dont understand and thats when suddenly the player obveously makes a mistake and the pass is turned over to me - in court. But I dont know what teh player had done wrong to make the turn over? was it a replayed ball or something? and if so what exactly is that? not knowing makes it hard to know were to take the pass. Can someone tell me what rules make a turn over (in court).. I will ask my coach but netball practice is in a couple days and I wanto know now! :)

Eventually I wanto be playing GA/GS or C,which my team members think I should be playing. I am just on GK until I learn the ropes. I aim to play reps next year and eventually get into National teams :)

  • What should I write about for my speech?

My speech (due two days ago) cannot be about abortion, religion, endangered animals and politics. I dont know what to write about! this is for NCEA level one (like NZ year 11/form 5 - 15yr old)

Some people are doing Dolphins, personality, girls and dreams and it has to be 3 minutes long. How the heck do you talk about those subjects for three minutes! It cant be what anyone else is doing though.... any suggestions welcome!

  • Roundoff back handspring?

I can do a roundoff, also a standing flickflac (I think some people call it back handspring) and my old coach would spot me for roundoff flicks. I had to leave that club though and now can only do gymnastics at school... The coach said I could be doing them without a spot but that was last year.

Recently I did a standing flick on the grass at a party and it was neat and tidy. I know that standing and roundoff flick's are different (putting the two together). Do you think I am able to do them this year at school on the gym floor? I am pretty good, tidy and have been doing tumbling with spot for about a year now,and been doing gym for nine years (little kid classes to start).
