It's really weird, I know. But if I haven't played a game in a few months, instead of just picking up where I left off, I have to start the whole thing over. xD

This happened last August and again now. When MSE updates it says I may be a victim of counterfeiting then on my desktop is says in the corner:

"Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine"

However it doesn't black out my wallpaper or prevent me from installing updates and everything goes on as normal. It doesn't pop up with the message that I need to activate Windows either. After about a week it goes away.

The laptop is about two years old and my mom bought it for me. It was on Amazon or something, but it was totally new and from HP, and I've never had any problems with it. I'm not really concerned about this since it doesn't do anything, but I'm wondering why it would say that and then nothing happens and it just goes away?

I'm curious what you think, just in general and my situation specifically. I got in a fight with my mom over forgetting to clean up, so it's just not going to be my day tomorrow, plus I'm paranoid about her taking my laptop while I'm gone. I'm going to clean the whole house tomorrow to make it up and just tell her I missed the bus because I was sick.

I'm a nearly straight-A student and don't even need to study half the time, so I'm not really concerned about missing a day. It's a whole month until we're going to get just one day off, and I need a break. Plus my mom will be happy I cleaned the house, and I get a much-needed vacation, so everyone wins.

This is a sure thing and I'm about to go to bed so there's not much point in convincing me not to, but if you want to tell me about how much of a bad idea this was, be my guest.

All I was doing was watching a video. I paused the video to go respond to a chat on Google, and while I was typing the screen went black. Ctrl alt delete didn't do anything and I couldn't even see my mouse, it was just a black screen. All the lights were on and I had to hold the power button to turn it off.

Unless Youtube videos can give you a virus then it's not that, plus I scanned my computer and nothing is there. The laptop is on my lap but I have it positioned so the vents aren't covered. I've run it at 100% CPU for six hours with no problems. Plus if it had overheated it would have turned off all the way.

I can't afford to buy anything or do any repairs so if my computer is screwed it's screwed. I'm just wondering what the cause was.

I'm downloading the free game right now, and I was just wondering if multiplayer is still an option (like, did they remove it when they started selling the game?) And how do you play online if you can? It's probably really obvious once you start it up, but if it isn't, how do you do it?

Also, what are the features of the free game (like how many maps do I get and what tools can I use?). I can't find any version history or anything online.

I know you can just change it after you post it, but it's really annoying and half the time the categorization doesn't even work... .-. The simplifying of the whole thing is nicer but I really wish they would just throw that in at the bottom or something.

Just curious. Most of the people at my school are black and there are only a handful of girls with blond or brown hair, which makes me think they're dying it. Is it possible for them to naturally have any hair colour other than black?

Also, say a black man and a white woman with red hair (or blond or brown) have a child. If the child was dark-skinned, would it be possible for him to have the red/blond/brown hair as well?

So I'd like to download mods for my Sims 2 Ultimate, but I need either WinRAR or 7zip to extract the archive (not really sure what that means but I need to do it to be able to use the mod). That's all I need it for and I'm never going to use it for anything else, so which is better for that specific purpose? I'm running a Windows 7 HP laptop.

Modthesims.info says that the WinRAR trial never actually ends, you just get a nag box that you can close out. Is this still true or did they fix that so the trial only lasts forty days? Will 7zip extract RAR files? Has anyone ever gotten a virus by downloading WinRAR or 7zip from the OFFICIAL site, or does having it on your computer open up any security issues?
