Shipping to korea soon. At fort leonard wood wood reception now in processing. My paper has the reporting duty station code "wdcs01" and my battle buddy has "wdc501" . We know it may not be pinpoint orders it can change when we get to korea but we are just interested what camps those are for now. No one has told us which camps they are i been trying to google no answers tho. Anyone who been to korea seen these codes?

Im going to korea as my first duty station since i entered active from national guard so I don't have experience. Was shocked That i got overseas. This korea assignment is 1 year so i been told i would most likely go state side after my 1 yer in korea. l was wondering how other soldiers experience was on stateside duty stations. I've heard good reviews about fort carson . Which conus duty station did you experience?

Im going active duty from national guard so don't know about active duty yet. Ive had many questions about how it works . Recruiter doesn't say much. Been assigned to korea as first duty station. I go there from fort leonard wood. ive heard when i arrive to fort leonard wood i will get orders but wont be accurate until i arrive at reception in korea. Well once i get to korea if 2nd ID picks me for their unit does this mean i go to fort lewis after my 1 year tour in korea? How does that work if 2nd ID picks me

Im going from national guard to active duty army and i will be sent to fort leonard wood to process back into the army and then will be shipped to korea from fort leonard wood. I guess thsi is option 18 im considered prior and they have to revaluate me before sending me to duty station. Haven't been given an estimation on how long i will be at fort leonard wood before im sent to korea. Have any of you been through this process? Will i still be treated like an new recruit since it's at an basic training site? I been to fort leonard wood 3 years ago for basic training. I hope im at reception no longer than a week. Just wanna go to my duty station already

Siwtched from national guard to Active army. Found out i will be going to korea as first unit of assignment. I've heard of alot of restrictions like curfews and not bwing allowed to go off post when you first arrive for a certain amount of time. I think ive heard from ppl who only deployed there had the restriction to stay on post for first 90 days. But im not deploying there i have pcs orders. Also were did you get stationed after korea?

this Question is ONLY for soldiers or former soldiers who Tried or successfully switched from Army National Guard to Active Army, What did you go through and how did you do it? I wanna hear from people who done it not from smart *** wanna be know it alls who says its impossible
