I'm 23 and live in Omaha. I recently graduated college with a degree in finance. I'm pretty outgoing and love going to the bars around town. Anything else you want to know feel free to ask. My avatar is of my new tattoo (2-07-09) I had the original eagle on my right shoulder done 5 years ago. It is an American eagle holding an American flag over his shoulder. I added a banner below it which says "In God We Trust." I also added another eagle on my left shoulder. The new eagle represents my Nebraska upbringing. He is holding a Nebraska state flag, has the state slogan "The Good Life" written in the banner, and also has a red Husker N tattooed on his arm. Finally, the preamble of the Constitution is written between the two eagles.

  • Teeth whitening question?

A buddy of mine told me that using peroxide is a cheap way to whiten teeth. He said his mom uses it while in the shower to whiten her teeth and says five minutes of swooshing peroxide in her mouth gives her super white teeth.

Is this true and is it safe to do? Has anyone else heard this before?

  • Is this the best/most productive answer Obama supporters have?

How many times have we seen questions, sometimes very serious and important, where someone from the left gives the answer "No. Get over it. You lost." Is that how the left works? "We won so do as we say now and don't question it!" Sounds like a very 'bipartisan' group of people.

  • Can you change a birds name?

I am looking into getting a Blue and Gold Macaw and most of the birds I am finding already have names. Some of them are really stupid and I was wondering if you could change a birds name, or if that would confuse them or upset them or something.

  • Good cage for a Macaw?

What is a good cage size for a Golden Macaw? This will be my first Macaw and I need a cage to get started (nothing fancy yet and I will eventually get him a nicer/bigger cage when I can afford it). I just want to know what the minimum size would be for now until I can afford a bigger one, and can find space for a large cage. Thanks for your help!

  • How do you handle your own budget?

In your personal life, lets say you are in debt $10,000. You decide you want to eliminate this debt or at least get it down to a more comfortable level. Do you...

    A. go buy a $1,600 flat screen with your credit card or

    B. invest your money in a company that says they have a project that offers a 10% return on your investment?

Please give your answer, your reasoning and your political stance

  • Pro-Choice people please answer?

So I have heard many pro-choice people say they aren't FOR abortion, they just feel it's about choice. So maybe you aren't FOR abortion and don't promote it...but you are ok with it? Is that a more correct assumption?

For those of you that are OK with abortion...how many of you have actually researched abortion and seen one performed? I nearly threw up reading some of the stories about the babies moving away from the instruments, fighting to live...seeing the pictures and the videos. If you have seen these things, are you still OK with your choice to allow murder?

  • Anyone know where the full text of the bill is?

The Senate just passed their version of the stimulus bill...does anyone know where I can find it in it's full text. I want to see exactly what ended up in the bill. Thanks

    5 AnswersGovernment1 decade ago
  • Do you think this is stimulus?

Good: It will help the economy, create jobs and solve the economic crisis. Obama knows exactly what he is doing and we should listen to the Democrats. This is just what we need!

Bad: This is a pork filled bill that will not help the economy in any way. In fact, it will probably do more harm than good. This makes no sense and I hope the Republicans stop this from happening.

    Please give your answer

Be sure to state your age (generalization is acceptable), political party, education level and reasoning please.

  • How many people are in America?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8hMJVXt09E

500 million Americans will lose their job each month that this stimulus bill is not passed?

So after February not only will every American be out of a job, our unborn children will also be fired from the jobs they don't have yet.

Does Pelosi just say whatever she thinks will get people to follow her and none of us will understand what she is saying? That we will all be stupified by fear and follow like sheep?

  • How is this an economic stimulus bill?

The current bill is about 2/3 spending and 1/3 tax breaks. Much of the $550 billion in spending is divided among these areas:

    $142 billion for education,

    $111 billion for health care,

    $90 billion for infrastructure,

$72 billion for aid and benefits,

    $54 billion for energy,

$16 billion for science and technology,

    and $13 billion for housing.

Wasn't the problem the housing market? I think we do need to invest more money in our healthcare and our education system...but why are they doing it in this stimulus bill? Shouldn't this stimulus bill be focused on the economic problem? If these things they want are so important they should make a seperate bill for them and not try to mask them behind the economic crisis...does anyone else think it is bull that they are calling this a stimulus bill to help our economy, when clearly it is focused on anything but the economy?

  • If you receive bailout money?

Ok, so we are talking about giving executives of companies that received bailout money pay restrictions and having companies be completely transparent with the government. I totally agree with that. It's no longer their business, it is partially my business and I want to know how my money is being used.

Should we do this with homeowners to? There are several parts of this that will help homeowners stay in their homes. Should they have to go on a case by case basis and prove that they deserve the help? If someone is losing their home but they are driving around in a $50,000 car, or they are spending a ridiculous amount of money on frivilous things....should we exclude them from the bailout or place limitations on what they can do?

  • Question about ex girlfriend? (reposting looking for more opinions)?

Ok, so I'll try to keep this short. Basically I was with this girl for over 4 years. I really felt like we were meant to be together and was getting ready to buy a ring. Last year around halloween she decided that she wasn't sure who she was etc. Ended our relationship and became very cold and distant towards me. She moved to Phoenix, then moved back after just a few months. We still talk frequently, I am trying to maintain a friendship with her (I still love her and want to be with her) and we have even gone out a few times since our breakup.

So this past Friday she called me and asked me if I would come with her to her cousins graduation party (I'm still very close with her family). I agreed to go and met her at her place. As she was getting ready and I was hanging out in her room, I noticed that she had tons of pictures up of her and I from when we were dating...she even had some up of just me... This totally confuses me! She says she doesn't have feelings for me like she did, she doesn't want to be in a relationship etc... but then she has pictures of me all over her room? Does anyone know what that means? Like is she just lying about not loving me still? Is she really not in love anymore and just likes the pictures? I don't get it. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Car feels like its sliding on turns?

Ok, so recently when I am making a turn it feels like the back end of my car is sliding during the turn. It feels like I'm making the turn on ice, but the roads aren't slick. Does anyone know what might cause this?

If it helps at all the car is an '01 Pontiac Grand Am.

  • How many times is this going to get asked?

Seriously do the people of this country have any understanding of basic economic principles? I have seen numerous questions asking why the government doesn't just give us all $1 million instead of giving it to corporations. Do you people understand what hyperinflation is?

If I have $1 and you have $1 and an apple costs $1, we can both buy one apple. The government comes in and says, "we are giving everyone $1...so now I have $2 and you have $2...guess how much that apple costs...$2.

Tell me what problem was solved there?

  • Could someone explain where this is defined?

    Ok, I'm rewording this:

Where is "natural born" defined in US law? What qualifications make a citizen "natural born" over "nationalized?" I'm looking for a legal definition in US law.

Please do not answer unless you can source a legal reference for this information as to where "natural born" is defined in US law.

Also, DO NOT ANSWER if you are going to rant for or against Obama. I don't want to know your opinion one way or the other, I just want to know what US law states when defining "natural born" as used in our Constitution.

  • Obama's citizenship question?

Ok, seems like the big topic of the day is whether Obama is eligible to be President given our current citizenship laws. To make this clear there is no doubt that he is a citizen but the question at hand is whether he is a "natural born" citizen as opposed to a "naturalized" citizen. According to the Constitution, you must be a natural born citizen to be eligible for the office of President or Vice President.

So...what do our laws state as the requirements to be a "natural born" citizen? Also, is Obama still considered "natural born" if he cannot prove that he was in fact born in Hawaii?

Please do not answer unless you can source a legal reference for this information as to where "natural born" is defined in US law.

  • Why is it that some people...?

Why is it that some people see another country doing something, such as socialist healthcare, and then believe that because Canada and Europe does it the US should do it to "keep up with the times" ? Since when did we become a bunch of sheep that must do everything Europe does? Didn't we get to where we are by doing things our way and not following their "oh so insightful" lead?
