  • Why wont Barnes and Noble ship the Nook to an APO address?

I am stationed in Japan and tried to order the Nook. But for some reason they will not ship it to an APO address. When I inquired at customer support, all I get is a cut and paste answer that the Nook is not available for overseas purchases. However an APO is a domestic address and for all purposes a domestic sale. What is most disappointing about this is that their customer service doesn't even seem to want to address this issue. I could understand if there was a technical reason because of bandwidth or frequencies restrictions in countries or something, but all you get is a cut and paste answer that does not address APOs at all.

The reason why I was sold on the Nook was that it could do Adobe format that our Field Manuals are in. If it was just for reading e-books, I could get a different e-reader.

Does anyone know if B&N is fixing this or has a reason for this restriction or if they have plans to lift this restriction? Or perhaps offering through AAFES or NEX?

  • Why does Yahoo have an article about Obama and not the actual President laying a wreath for Veterans?

Im not taking a side here, but I found it not surprising. Even Obama said that President Bush is still the President. I think it shows how the press is focused in what it covers and fails to give us the big picture of things. Even if they did an article about what both Bush and Obama were both going to today would have been more appropriate.

  • Is there anyway I can file for a fiance visa while living overseas?

I am an American living in Europe and my fiance is from Japan. When I go back to the USA, we would like to get married, but I cannot file a fiance visa through the US Embassy. Do I have any other options other then waiting until I get back to the USA to start the K1 Visa? Because of my job, getting married first and trying to file an immigration visa causes complications.

One idea I had was having my father with a power of attorney file it for me. Is that possible?
